Does this ride have the same kind of wait times as Test Track? What about Fast Pass? Do they run out early?

My 13 yo ds CANNOT WAIT to do this and I'm trying to figure out a plan of attack.

TIA!

We were there last week during Pres week and the wait time was very similar to Test Track's. I think if you get there before one, you shouldn't have a problem getting a fastpass.

Get in first thing in thet morning. Get FP for M:S and lineup for TestTrack. By the time you get out from TT, it's time for M:S.

Only so many people can go on a ride in a single day.

Fastpass tickets give you a window of 50 minutes during which you can redeem the pass. The computers "know" how many riders to allocate to each block. When all the passes for a given block have been expended, the machines roll ahead to the next block.

Ultimately when the return time nears the park closing time, they will discontinue issuing passes.

In effect, depening upon crowd levels and the popularity of a given attraction, the return time on a FastPass you acquire may be 45 minutes away or it may be 4 hours away. If the parks are particularly busy, it isn't uncommon for the day's passes to be expended by mid-afternoon.

Clocks posted at the kiosks will tell you the return time before you even get a pass. This should help you determine whether the pass will fit into your touring plans or not.

I was there with my DS 12 last summer, and we must have ridden Mission Space 12 times! There was a single rider line (hopefully there still is), which has a much shorter wait. Last summer we never did Fastpass, we just got in the single riders line, and since there were only 2 of us, we always ended up together. It was great!!
We're going again in a week, this time the whole family!! We will probably try Fastpasses so we can ride together the first time, then do single riders again.
Have Fun!

p.s. - make sure you stop to play the game after you exit the ride. Any kid who likes video games (even their Mom!) has a lot of fun doing this.

Just back today :( , yesterday (Sat.) DH and DD were able to ride MS with only a 5 min. wait at 4:00 in the afternoon while TT was a 50 min. wait.... go figure! Space Mickey and Goofy were greeting in front of MS so DS and I did that while they rode.

The other time they rode MS was on Thursday morning. We got fast passes right at park opening for MS for DH and DD, and 2 fast passes for TT for me and DS, then we all rode TT with no wait. Our fast pass times came up in about 20 min. and we used them and were done in that area by 9:30!

We had come in the Internation Gateway, they let us in about 8 min. early to walk thru WS, as we were approaching TT and MS we say the "rope drop" from the main entry, it was a throng trying to run to MS and TT but being corralled by CM's on Segways!:p
