Can someone tell me all the different wait time phone apps. I want to find one that I can get on my phone.

I have an iPhone and you can search for an app called WDW Wait times There is a free app you can view the wait times for lines at each ride.

There are several that I don't know the name of that are free, but the information can be spotty since the info is completely user-generated.

There's Mobile Magic, which you can only get if you use Verizon. It's the official Disney app. But it's GPS blocked, and you can only view info for the park you're in at that time. I think it's like $9 for 6 months.

There's Lines, from touringplans.com. I think that is $9 for a years subscription to the website and the Lines. You can check the info for any park, anytime, anywhere. The wait times are estimates based on historical data, but there's also a section where users submit current times.

Those are the ones I'm aware of.

:thumbsup2 DH used his Iphone App for wait times and we would check it while in front of the specific ride or better yet in Epcot at the digital kiosk. Spot on....it was the VersEdge folks who also make the dinning app.

I have an andriod phone so I don't know how the apps translate across...

But I found a free one called Ride Hopper. It lets you get wait times for virtually ANY amusement park in the US. So you can use it for all 4 disney parks, and then your local Six Flags or something, too.

Plus its free :)

I've been using it to get my WDW fix until I'm down there on the 11th!

I won't be using it while I'm actually IN WDW tho... that's what the big signs above the lines are for ;)

I have the mobile magic app by Verizon, haven't really been able to use it yet since not at the parks. I plan on using the apps for rides I'm not standing in front off. If I'm in line at Splash Mountain but would like to see what the wait time is for Peter Pan, I can check it without walking all the way over there only to find out it's a 75 minute wait.

I plan on looking at the big signs when I'm at an actual attraction.;)

We got the touring plans website to work on our blackberry and it works the same way as the application

I have the Lines application on my blackberry. Which if you own the Unofficial Guide (or know someone who does and can tll you the answers to the "verification questions") you get 50% off. It cost me $4.48 for a year...

I have a verizon phone & when I go to the apps part it only lets me search in "games" - how do I do this?

I have a Droid and although I LOVE my phone I was aggravated to find I couldn't use the official Disney apps on it (or many others it seems :sad2:)
I will look for the Ride Hopper.

For me, it isn't a matter of using the app to check wait times. I want it to help get that Disney fix between now and the LONG time before we go! ;)

i've been using LINES for a couple of weeks now - we aren't going to WDW until July but it's fun to see if we were in EPCOT right now what the wait times would be.

i won't be using it in WDW since we're from Canada and would pay a fortune for roming charges just to check wait times but it's fun from home

here are the 2 I have for my blackberry, both will need to be bookmarked in your browser as they don't have a 'app' for the bb, the 'lines' from the unofficial guide does have some 'apps' for iphone I think- check the site.

cost is $9 a year, but less if you have the book. I like it so far, it relies on historical info and other members in the parks adding the information to update wait times. you also get access on your computer to touring plans, and alot of other info on the web site.

the other is the 'lite' version of the mobile magic, free but the info is not as good as the 'lines'

you can check these out on your computer and see if either will work out for you.

I think Lines/TouringPlans.com is fantastic and probably the best $9 I spent on trip planning. It beats the free WDW Wait Times app hands-down.

do you know the actual name of the App to find in the appstore?

Currently at WDW, using Lines from Touring Plans. Great App, actually using the times submitted by users more than anything else. Lets me know if it is worth walking from one side of the park to another for a ride. Also great at home to let you feel like you are there!

Really.... Relying on apps for your wait times... :confused3

Not totally relying on, but it can be very helpful!

Imagine, you've been in the park for a few hours with your kids. Every is getting to the point where they want to go back to the hotel. But, before you go, your daughter wants to know if we can please-please-pretty-please see how long the wait is for Splash Mountain and maybe ride it before you head back. You are in front of the castle.

With an app at hand, you can check the wait time without trekking all the way over to Splash just to find that it's 1hour+ wait. Saves some walking.

Sure, you can do it the old fashioned way (been doing it for years!) or just head back to the hotel, but technology isn't a bad thing... there's a reason new stuff gets invented every day!

Sure, I'm entering the park later in the day and we are trying to decide if we should head over to Splash mountain first or Buzz Lightyear. Let's see, 20 minute wait for Buzz, 45 minute wait for Splash. Decision easy!! No need to walk over to see both wait time boards.
