I'm trying to change one of my reservations, as of now I have what is considered a lunch menu time, but would like to change it for an hour later when it's considered the dinner menu. What have you found the average wait time for a reservation might be? If your reservation is within the lunch hour, but an hour before dinner time, can you request the dinner menu? I know that some restaurants have the same menu for lunch and dinner, but some do not.

My wait time for an adr at Disney has ranged from zero to 2.5 hours. Yep, 2.5 hours but that is obviously not the norm (that was at Sci Fi).

Not sure why but we've rarely had any delay at any Epcot restaurant.

On the other hand we seem to usually have some wait in MK restaurants.

Our waits have ranged from no wait to 90 minutes on one occasion, but generally no more than about 15 minutes.

If you are seated during lunchtime I would not count on being able to order from the dinner menu because the restaurant won't have the kitchen set up for dinner prep until lunch is over.

If you want to order from the dinner menu it's much better to keep checking online multiple times a day to get a reservation during dinner. You can also subscribe to the cancellation thread for your month on this Dining Reservation page.

Thanks for that advice. I have been watching the cancellation thread, so I'm still hopeful to get my later dinner setting time. I'm on a tight schedule that afternoon, so I can't be too flexible with times, so if it's lunch for my TS, that will be fine. In the meantime, I'll keep checking.
