wait list scenario?

I’m trying to figure out the best way to use the wait list. I’m looking to book a 2 bdrm at BCV May 15-20 (we’d be checking out on the 20th). They currently only have a 2 bedroom for May 18, 19. Should I book those two nights and wait list for the rest? I currently have a 2 bedroom booked at the BWV for the entire stay. Do I book a split stay between the resorts or just do a wait list for the entire 5 nights at BCV? I’m assuming the wait list will only come through if all the dates I have booked are available. It won’t be filled day by day. I’m just wondering which way will increase my chances of the wait list coming through. The other half of my family is staying at BCV so I’d like to be at the same resort but it won’t be that bad if we have to stay at BWV. At least they are in walking distance of each other.

I can't give you the odds of the waitlist working the best, but if it were me, I would Call Member Services and ask them... or Book a split stay if you don't mind moving. Remember that checkout is 11AM and check in is 4pm, so will that hinder one of your days? We have done split stays, but we have our car, so it really was not much of a issue. You probably have a better chance of getting 3 days over 5. Then you have the refrigerator issue, what foods are you going to have? Boardwalk is very nice and very close. Really not much of a issue. We were there in Oct in a renvotated room, it was so nice. Don't know if this helped, but hope so.

Any time you are WL'ing for less nights vs. more, your chances are a bit better.

However, the question is really whether or not you want to do a split stay if the WL does not come through.

Since the days are at the end of your trip, I would go for it. Then put in 2 WL's, one for the night of the 17th, and one for the nights of the 15th through 18th.

This way, you might be able to add it day by day. If the 17th comes through, then you modify the WL to do the night of the 16th, and the nights of 15th and 16th, etc.
