I have an Oct use year and currently have 2 waitlist for Oct., I was told that I could only have 2 wait list at a time (period) but from reading the member website it says
Wait List
Find out the policies and procedures for requesting alternate vacation choices.

If you are unable to secure the reservations you want, rest assured that you do have options. The key is to have alternate choices selected when you contact Member Services. Being flexible with alternate dates, resorts and/or accommodations can assist you in your effort to secure a reservation. However, if you need a specific reservation that is unavailable, you can ask to be placed on a waiting list.

What you need to know about the wait list for Disney Vacation Club Resorts:

During the Home Resort Priority, you can only wait list at your Home Resort.
You can have up to two active wait list requests per Membership per Use Year.
Wait list requests for consecutive nights cannot be split into separate night-by-night requests.
Your request will remain on the wait list for up to 31 days before your requested check-in date. If you'd like to keep your name on the wait list beyond that time, contact Member Services at least 32 days prior to your requested check-in date.
There is no wait list available within seven days of your requested check-in date.
If your wait list request becomes available, Member Services will automatically confirm the reservation and mail a confirmation to you.
There is no need to contact Member Services once your request has been placed on the wait list.
All other wait list requests or previously confirmed reservations for comparable dates will be cancelled when a wait list request is confirmed. Additionally, you will not be contacted prior to a wait list request being confirmed and a confirmation letter being mailed to you.
As a courtesy to other Members, please contact Member Services if you no longer wish to be on the wait list.
Tip: For a better chance of securing your vacation plans when you call Member Services, have second and third choices in mind. Since being on the wait list does not guarantee you a vacation spot, consider whether you can alter your arrival or departure dates or use different accommodations, among other things.
Shouldn't I have been able to put in a wait list request for this June to add 1 night to my current reservation. :confused3

No, it's two waitlists total at any time - doesn't matter if you have multiple reservations or not. It says right there two "per Membership per use year".

Both of your reservations are in your same use year, so that wouldn't help you either.

The June reservation is in my 2010 Use year, the October reservation is in my 2011 use year.

Oh - I was thinking next June (2012). Well then I don't know the answer for sure, but I think you are right. Two in each use year.

I would call back and speak to a different MS representative and see what they say.

PS - you must almost be getting within the 30 day window for your June trip anyway (when waitlists end) since it's already May 9, unless you are going to request they keep your wait list open until 7 days ahead.

I think in practice it's been 2 period, not per UY or per membership. You could call them on it per the written rules and see what happens.
