Wait List 8+ Months Out - UPDATED

Just had to change our Memorial Weekend 2004 4-night stay (booked at 11 mos) to 5 nights beginning Sunday, June 13 (8 mos and 1 week from now).

I'm on the wait list for nights 3 and 4! (June 15 & 16.) BWV 2br std view.

This will be our first trip home, so we don't want to go anywhere beside "our" resort - BWV. Plus, this is our only chance to go to WDW in '04. The rest of the year has all of a sudden filled up with a reunion vacation, 2 weddings and 2 graduations...and, oh yeah, work and school.

Worse yet, the reservation was made with 2003 points that came with our brand-new purchase...we can't bank them past 2004.

I'm shocked and panicking. Please send some pixie dust and stories of wait list success.

Called Member Services to check on the status of the wait list and learned it came through already!! Hurray!! Thanks for the pixie dust!

All standard views at BWV (where we also own) are always booked up within the first 2 weeks at the 11 month window.
I think you have a good chance for the 2 nts you need since your way out.

For our Oct 2003 trip coming up we waitlisted(at 6 months) for 1 nt OCT 23 at BWV and got it and also just this week got our 1 nt at BCV Sun OCT 19 for our DD at just 11 days out. So wait listing does work but it's just a chance you take.

We called at exactly 7 mos out for a standard view 2 br at BWV. The entire 5 nites were not available so we booked at BCV and went on the waitlist (this is for next March) for BW. Within 2 weeks our waitlist had come thru (the entire 5 nites, not day by day). I think you have a good chance.
