Wailulu Bar & Grill

I am going to Wailulu Bar & Grill with a picky eater. Does anybody have experience if they can accommodate that? Otherwise I would consider going to a place that has regular burgers ...
I asked them to leave several of the toppings off my burger and they had no problem with that. It was a pretty good burger too.
does anyone know if you can order regular fries here instead of sweet potato fries?
Yes, you can ask for regular fries. I did that yesterday.

Thanks for the report.

Question, though: did the "chicken poke bowl" have chicken and poke together? By your picture, it just looks like chicken (which isn't poke).

Poke doesn't mean fish. It means things cut up in small pieces. It can be anything.

Poke traditionally means raw fish. Only recently has the dining community decided Poke is a style, not the literal thing it used to be. So, you aren’t wrong- but really neither is PP. PP just isn’t as attune with the hip feelz of food these days 😝

This.

I'm fairly certain most Hawaiians consider Poke to be raw fish. I guarantee that the poke section of the deli at a Foodland doesn't have any cut-up chicken.

Just because you can find a trendy modern Poke restaurant in Omaha or St. Louis that uses chicken doesn't mean that's how it is traditionally made.
