My darling husband has been reading guidebooks I happen to have laying around....he says he read in one that wagons were not allowed at Disney parks, only the strollers rented at the parks or collapsable strollers brought into the parks.

Does anyone know if this is true? We were thinking of getting a wagon for our 8 and 5 yo because walking is not their favorite passtime and they are little big for most strollers.

TIA.

Wagons are not allowed in WDW parks and never have been. They are considered a safety hazard because they are more difficult to steer than strollers and since they are behind you, you don't really know exactly where they are going.

You know the wagons would be very difficult for you to get through the crowds anyway. Try an umbrella stroller. Unless your kids are really big the umbrella stroller that you bring from home would be more than adequate. My youngest son used his til he was almost eight whenever we would go on long walks or to other parks. They just get so tired with all that walking. The strollers at MGM are a little different too. They seem much sturdier than at MK and aren't so babyish. Hope you have a great time!
