This morning I turned my computer on as usual and to my surprise, my homepage had been changed. I had it set to yahoo.com, and my browser opened in some munkey.com or what have you. I thought Yahoo was now that site but worried I could not access my mail. I checked my internet oprions and lo and behold, something had changed it to that hideous site!

I ran my McAfee antivirus right away, downloaded updates for my firewall and ran my Ad-Aware. I reset my options (tools-> Options) cleared the cookies and reset my homepage.

I noticed I had to restart the puter a few times, I could not stay logged on afterwards. So I had to run ad-aware again. Now everything is clear...

Mind your HD, clicking in and out of all these rewards sites! Heck you can't even trust any with BBB or "this and that approved" icons!

This is a great warning to send out. I work in the I/T dept. and see many PCs that have been granted access to multiple spyware and ad sites... yuck!

Beware of any "Do you wish to install this software?" Yes NO popups... especially if they are from the GATOR corporation... or other spyware.

I recommend downloading a small app called Ad Aware. This will help you clear off spyware.

Maybe that will help someone! :)

Last night I popped online while DH snored on the couch and for a change I actually shut the computer off for the night. We usually just let it go to sleep, but I thought I would save a few pennies because we make our electric company rich enough.

Well this morning when I turned the computer on everything is showing up like 3-4 times it's normal size! I cannot get it to back to the way it was, but I have not tried to run my ad-aware yet or my McAfee. This is driving my eyes crazy because my screen is like it's for the blind.

Hopefully I'll get make it all better when I run those 2 programs, but it's funny how I'm not the only one whose computer went wako(?spelling) overnight.
