Hi,
We're members at OKW and are trying VWL studio in June, can anyone tell me how far the DVC part of WL is from the main pool. What view do these rooms have? How far is it to the campground, and are there any activities there in June for kids? Is there anywhere at the lodge to view fantasy in the sky fireworks? Is there any babysitting services available for a 4 yr. and 7 month old? Any other infor or tips.
Thanks

I'll try to answer a few.....

The Villa's are a 3-5 minute walk to the main pool, depending on where in the villas you are staying. Just walk by the quiet pool, and around back there is a pathway. The quiet pool , in my opinion, is nicer than the main pool.

Fort Wilderness is about a 20 minute walk along a partial dirt path. It is a nice relaxing walk. We ended up at the petting zoo which is also close to the store (Trading Post?).

Room views vary. There are pool views, and woods views. Some of the views you can see the Lodge, and some you can see the bus station (truly not a big deal....barely noticable). I think you may have a tough time seeing fireworks from any VWL view, but I'm not positive on that.

Good Luck, I think you'll love VWL!.....

We are VWL owners. The Cub's Den is a fully supervised Childcare facility but only for ages 4-12. There are children's activites at VWL but you have to check with the front desk because some of them may require a fee and some have age restrictions. The guidebook lists duck races, arts and crafts and pool games, etc. My daughter always enjoys the white sand beach with the swings and sand toys. Occasionally they walk an animal, like a horse, over from Ft Wilderness. You can always rent bikes and boats at the marina. Have a nice trip.
