VWL TV's

Are the tv's at VWL still the smaller screens or have they been replaced? Anybody?

We were just in a 2BR (3535) from Dec 19-23 and the screens were definitely the small ones. DH commented on them but the room was immaculate so we had no complaints! VWL was just perfect for the season, as we had hoped!

How close was that room to the elevators? Did you have a lake view?

We are arriving on Saturday and on Sunday our team is playing in the AFC football playoff game. We absolutely have to see it so it sounds like we will be at ESPN. I was thinking if the tv was a newer one we could watch in our room and save some money

How did you like the room? This is the first time we've used the 2br at VWL. How many people did you have? We have 4 adults and 2 children.

At the annual meeting, it was said that VWL will get flat-panel TV's during 2009.

Mike, will all of the DVC resorts get flat screens, or just a select few? I was thinking the other day about if/how they will do that for some of the other resorts (especially OKW). Many of them have entertainment units to hold the current TVs (OKW has the kitchen island), so it's either going to require some of the furniture be replaced, and in OKW's case, maybe a change in furniture arrangement.

TV replacement would come out of the dues reserve budget so there will have to be money for both the TV and the cabinets. I doubt any of the current resort cabinets could handle a flat screen the size of the ones they are putting in the new resorts.
