Hi all...We are just back from 7 days in WDW. It was our first trip as DVC owners and my first trip to WDW since 1979.
We stayed in a two bedroom lockoff at VWL. We had rooms 3537 and 3539. The rooms were nice, and were very clean when we checked in. My wife and I loved the resort and all my two year old twins wanted to do was play with the Mickey Topiary that holds the Disney Vacation Club sign as you walk to the Villas.
We arrived on 9/14 and checked in. I had a woman that was in training for her mouse ears when we checked in, so I did not receive my "Welcome Home". Honestly I thought the whole "Welocme Home" home thing was kinda corny, but when I did not get mine I was kind of bummed!! Anyway, I did get my first Welcome Home when I bought some groceries at the mercantile.
The people that were on the trip were me and my wife, my twin boys Jack and James (22 months), my new son Max (4 months), my mother in-law and her boyfriend. We all had a great time.
We did MK the first night and there were no lines at all.....we owned the park and walked right onto every ride. We then caught Wishes at the closing of the park and all I can say is WOW!!!!! EVERYONE MUST SEE WISHES!!!!
We did Epcot and I rode Mission Space (Never Again) I was sick the remainder of the day. We also did MGM one day and Tower Of Terror is amazing....what a greate ride. We had to leave MGM early since it was so HOT and the boys were very cranky. We mostly did the pools during the day and the park at night. We did however do Typhoon Lagoon one day and it was blast!!!
Well there is too much to type, but I am sure you get the jist that it was a great trip!
Only downside for the trip was that my brand new Digital Rebel camera decided to die on me the day we arrived. I had to buy disposables and send the camera in for service.
Bye for now......
