DVC won't take specific room requests but they will take general view requests. Get familiar with the resort and if they give you a room at check in that doesn't fit what you want, then ask for something else then and there. Here is a link to a data base of room information in Adobe Acrobat put together by fellow Dis Board member InstImpres.
VWL is the building with the red roof. The green roof is Wilderness Lodge. As you can see from the picture, you will most likely be looking at trees! Of course, this is in perfect keeping with the theme of the resort.
Just wanted you to be aware that there are only a few rooms that overlook the quiet pool.
I only posted this so you wouldn't get your expectations up too much. Also, to let you know that the view at VWL is probably more uniform across the board than any other DVC resort.
That picture is GREAT!! but from what I see the view to the bay that was once available.. wouldn't be now because of the tree growth.. is that true or is that wrong?
The link that Happy Birthday Cat provided is super.. print it out and save it if, it'll come in handy when it comes to planning.
My guess is, since VWL is still pretty recent, the trees were there first ... meaning, those staying there were looking at trees from the day they opened.

It is one of the best photo websites of WDW that I've ever seen. And evidently, the site owner took an aerial tour of WDW at some point and posted a lot of aerial photos.
Just put the word "aerial" in his site search box and you'll see tons of them!
