VWL rehab

am i guessing right that they are rehabing the rooms & putting dvd players in? also the thing i heard was it wa supposed to be done soon. anyone know about this. thanks

We were at VWL last week, and there was a DVD player in our room.

Are the rehabbing the rooms?? If so will they get the plasma t.v's the new rooms have at WL?
I am thinking of staying there for the first time next year.
Question- if you rent a room by buying DVC points can you pay extra per day for daily housekeeping? If so how much is it?

Just the main lodge rooms are being rehabbed (the main lodge was built in 1994 so the rooms were due for rehab).

The Villas at Wilderness Lodge units were scheduled for new mattresses and DVD players (DVD players in the 1 and 2 bedrooms) by October is what I was told. The rooms at the villas aren't old enough to need a rehab yet. I think the villas opened some time close to 2001.

Yes, you can pay extra for housekeeping when you stay on points. But I can't remember what it costs because we never use it. We just make up our bed in the morning and DVC point stays get trash and towel on the 4th day of their stay. Plus, I like it better when housekeeping is not in our unit everyday. That way I don't have to worry about when they are coming if I want to take a nap. If you have a one bedroom or 2 bedroom, there are washers and dryers in the room. If staying in a studio, there's a free washer and dryer on the 1st floor. If we need extra towels in between doing a load of laundry, I just grab a pool towel to tide me over if I haven't done a load of laundry yet.
