THANK YOU Kathy!!!! With your directions and some fiddling around, I found which rooms I "own".You need to find it on the Comptrollers site. Start here (you don't actually have to login, just acknowledge). https://or.occompt.com/recorder/web/login.jsp
Unselect the check box on the right side of the page and select Condo drawings. Then I would do a wildcard search on Wilderness (it'll also pull up Copper Creek). That brings up the drawings that relate to the original declarations. You just need to open and view the image to find the one that has the drawing for your unit. Oh, then I think also note what floor etc to match up to the room numbers. It sounds worse than it is. lol
Thank you Corinne! We only had one tree fall and no damage to property.I came over to check in on Groupies and @jimmytammy knowing you are in NC. Glad to hear you are ok.
Thanks. We were fortunate. Some around here still have no power and lost far more than we did including some very good friends of ours. To make matters worse for most here and into western NC/southern TN (all mountainous terrain), flood insurance isn't a thing. You simply don't think of living in the mountains and worrying about flooding unless you sit on a river or deep creek. Well, many people didn't live particularly close to either but the flooding was monumental, and we can all see the havoc and destruction now. My heart aches for them especially.Sleepy and JT I'm so glad to hear that you are ok. Watching the videos from there are just heartbreaking. Trish and Kathy I am so sorry for your losses. My love and prayers go out to both of you.

I went back an reread your post and I personally thought it was fine. I think those of us who live in other parts of the country are feeling helpless seeing all of the videos. So much destruction and knowing there are so many unaccounted for people is just heartbreaking. And now we have Milton on the way.Corrine and all groupies,
I'm sorry my previous message was a little edgy. Though I am not directly affected by the tragedy in our Mountain communities, I still feel a kindred spirit with those folks. They are fellow NCers, and VA being just around the corner and Tenn a few miles away from our home, I feel so sad and sorry for those folks. I don't feel like I replied in a very respectful way to Corrine or the group in whole.
We are trying to plug in where we can to help out in a small way. It will take many years of recuperation. Some are so poverty stricken already they may never recover.
My painters son said they found 6 bodies unidentified in their neighborhood a few days ago as they traveled the area to help any remaining neighbors who are trapped or have no food, or basic supplies. I cant begin to imagine the destruction that is there.
Please pray for these folks and the responders as they go through the coming days to get some normalcy back.
I didn't see anything wrong at all, either, JT. It's been a tough time for folks in that part of the country and still will be for months and months to come. And, now, Milton is hurtling toward the west coast of FL. Rough, rough hurricane season this year.I went back an reread your post and I personally thought it was fine. My oldest daughter lives on the east coast of FL with her family, and though they've weathered a few hurricanes over the years (and this one shouldn't be as strong there as it will be when it hits west coast of FL), you always worry. We have friends who live in FL and being just a days drive from there, we have offered our home to them. They are in the wake of the path, both very close to WDW.
Praying for all of FL as they prepare for Milton.
Kathy and Trish...I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your husbands. Prayers are going up right now, and virtual hugs for you and your families.![]()
KAT4DISNEY, so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayer are with you and your family.
Thank you Tom, Kathy and Corinne.I came over to check in on Groupies and @jimmytammy knowing you are in NC. Glad to hear you are ok.
Kathy and Trish…I am so saddened to hear about your beloved husband’s. Sending hugs and prayers![]()
Glad you made it thru mostly unscathed Sleepy. Just a terrible event affecting such a wide area.Hello, Groupies! Southwest Virginia checking in, and it's been a doozy of a past week. My part of the state sits right at the NC/VA border, and we got walloped by Helene. Right off the bat, I'm going to say that we didn't have conditions nearly as bad as Asheville, Boone, or other places close to there. The amount of damage and disruption to lives there is almost unfathomable. That being said, this area is still not free from the devastation of Helene.
Lost power oh-dark-thirty Friday morning and had none until late Monday night. We had the foresight to catch water in the tub to use for toilets, but no way to heat water to drink. I'd bought bottled water a few days prior for another event, so we had that and plenty of nonperishables to eat. We wound up spending a couple of nights in a hotel about 30 minutes away--that county was mostly spared from power outages as the outer edge of Helene skirted by them while slamming us. Anyway, we're back home and had no damage other than losing all our fridge and freezer foods--compared to many around here, that's minimal. Others who live farther out into the hills and draws of southwest VA still have no power. Roads were washed out, as were bridges. The New River which is normally a gently wandering, often only waist deep in many places, rose and swallowed semi-permanent campers/homes that sat along the river's banks--it was the second highest crest on the New River ever. The highest happened in 1940. Below is a pic that was typical of many places around here on Saturday and Sunday. We live about 10 minutes from this "bridge."
Galax, VA, a mere 7-minute drive away, still has a boil notice for water as the system was taken down by the lack of power and all water in the lines was gone. They've had to try building up the pressure after replacing equipment and tanks. No school around here at least until Monday. We've been visited by the governor and both Senators. Yet, our part of southwest VA wasn't even the hardest hit--there are other communities a bit farther west that almost rival Asheville and Boone in destruction. Still no internet, though we can use our phones as wifi hotspots, thus why I'm able to type so much.
Nonetheless, we came through mostly unscathed and entirely safe which are blessings. Life for us was challenging for a bit, but we faced nothing like so many others are continuing to experience. Our hearts go out to them. So, if you can, find a site where you can donate to those who have lost it all. They surely need our help.

I think it was getting lost for some time how many areas have been affected Jimmy. Nothing to apologize for. In part due to cell and internet being down and there being a lot of areas that nobody knew how bad damage and loss of life was.Corrine and all groupies,

So good of you to do that. I know at least 3 or 4 people who may be in the path. My coworker from here in AZ is in the Tampa area to help her mom that just got surgery. She was supposed to fly out wednesday but that isn't happening now. Hopefully they will be okWe have friends who live in FL and being just a days drive from there, we have offered our home to them. Yeah I think they make them move for at least a couple nights.I just read this on FB -
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, the Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Does that mean they are actually making guests leave??
