VWL experts...I need your help

I am getting ready to change my reservation from SSR (Home Resort) to VWL. This will be our first stay at Wilderness Lodge. We are going in October and will be getting a 2 bedroom (checked on Saturday, and still have some available).

Are there any special room requests I should be asking for? What are my choices? Any help or recommendations would certainly be appreciated.

You may want to request a dedicated 2 bedroom, some people like close to the elevators that way you avoid the dumpster view's at then end. Enjoy!

Is there availability? Surprised, even though not an epcot resort; thought it would be booked for F&W.

Asking what view one should ask for is relying on that person's idea of what a good view is. We stayed there this past Dec and got a location/view that I didn't think we would like at all. We loved it.

The problem with this small resort is that a certain view is always recommended and there are so few rooms that have that view that it sets people up for dissapointment when they don't get it.

I usually do not make any requests other than non-smoking when I make reservations. And when I check in, I ask for "quiet" areas. There are lots of those villas!

Funny, I just made our first reservation for SSR (same time), we are swapping resorts!

We grabbed a 2BR at the 7 months window for last years F&W Festival. When I checked in I told them I wanted the weird squiggly rooms in the corners. She showed me the room "map" and I pointed to the room I would like to get, and one was available. LOVED LOVED LOVED that room. 3154 maybe?

It is another room that will be very difficult to get because there are so few of them. More disappointment!!!!

Sorry, I digress...they are a corner room that has a different configuration than the others. We have never been able to stay in one and we have been there about 15 times. But then, come to think of it, we never asked.
