VWL 7 month - the week before Christmas?

We know that VWL is very popular at Christmastime and were wondering if that applies to the week before Christmas as well as the week after. Do we have a chance at all to book it at the 7 month mark the week before?

Sure you have a chance but will probably need to waitlist. My understanding is that from Thanksgiving through the end of the year is a pretty tight time at VWL and DVC in general.

Hopefully you booked at your home resort already so that you have a back up plan in case the reservation/waitlist doesn't come through.

I agree with Granny, but try you may get lucky.

Start calling day by day exactly 7 months from the second day (check out for first day). Let MS know what you are trying to do and ask them how it looks. VWL is the smallest DVC resort and it get full more quickly during the winter holiday time. But make a back up reservation at your home resort first to make sure you have something.
