VR dessert parties???

Are the dessert parties only offered on actual weddings and not vow renewals? Just curious as I was playing around with the online planner at Disneyweddings.com, and though it will let you select everything for the reception it doesn't show anything about the dessert parties. Just wondering...TIA!

I don't think the dessert party information is there at all. I only found out about WISHES dessert parties because our Sales consultant suggested a WISHES party for us, because it was at our dream location and goes with our theme perfectly. I had been to an Illuminations dessert party with a private group, so I knew about that option from a resource other than DFTW.

Anyone can have a dessert party, you don't have to be bride at all to have one, but your planner can schedule it for you.

At the GF, the menu starts at $26/person + 20% service fee and 6.5% tax on that, bringing the total to about $35-36/person. PLUS, to have the Wishes soundtrack piped in, it is $650. That is current pricing. I am not sure whether prices increase periodically.

At Epcot the menus start at $22 per person, venue rental fees are anywhere from $300-$600, and viewing fees are $12.95 pp. There's a $75 setup fee anywhere but Upper UK, and you may be required to hire charter bus service at about $90per hour for a minimum of 4 hours. Oh yeah, plus 21% service fee on all food and beverage!
