Vow Renewal

Audra: Glad to help another addict:cool1:

We were fortunate enough to go to Disneyland once....it was fabulous. Of course is was before they built Calif. Advent. But we still loved it.

Audrad - 11 years actually, but we celebrated our 10th at WDW last year. ;) Disney does a bang up job with everything they do. I would've loved to have had a vow renewal service and party there, but he just won't do it. I can always do a kick-butt Disney anniversary party later. He's okay with partying part. He just doesn't want the pressure of a big-to-do ceremony thing.

It looks like you're within reach for the vow renewal with the misquote! :woohoo: You gotta love that! Just Go For It. :teeth: Don't think twice about it. Since you guys love Disney so much it would be a great way for you two to celebrate. What's included seems like a really nice package, too. ::yes:: :thumbsup2

Good luck & Happy Planning!

We did the vow renewal in Oct 06 for our 10th. We paid $1000 for the package as listed by Lisa. My opinion, it was well worth it. The ceremony itself was just OK, but everything else... well they bent over backwards to pamper/spoil us. The planners called to check on us, helped with absolutely EVERYTHING we needed, sent treats to our room all the time, would see us in the hall and stop to chat or help us with paying our tips (shhhh...we skipped the line), came to Palo to check that we were happy with everything and see if we needed anything else... I mean everything. Our service was nice. My parents, sister, bil and nephews were there. The music was nice, cake was delicious and flowers were gorgeous (I had the tropical bouquet). We were really excited to share the day with our kids (ds age 5 and dd age 3) but our dd couldn't stand still and our son decided after walking me half way down that he didn't like dressing in "handsome" clothes and wanted to go back to the kids club, ha ha.

We had our ceremony on Thurs (we were on a 7 day Western) which was our actual anniversary. It was held in Sessions and was decorated very nicely. My dh and ds wore black suits and black ties, my dd wore a lavender dress and I wore a baby blue evening gown. It ended up being fancier than I anticipated. I really wanted something more beachy/informal, but it worked and everyone looked great.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

When we renewed our vows, we did not have a choice of days. We were told that it was the Captain's decision - always a sea day. This of course could have changed. We also didn't have a choice of CC or even on deck (as I had wanted). I can tell you that it was very well worth it. I have to agree that all involved bent over backwards to make it a very special day. The photographer took us aroung the ship for @ 1 hour taking pictures. He, of course, had great ideas, but was open to any and all of our requests. The characters were all out because it was before dinner. It happened to be formal night so all were in their finery. We were taken to the front of the line and our private photographer took our photo. None of the people seemed to mind as they were all very excited to be a part of our "wedding". Also, the photog. was very quick. If you have a chance - take the galley tour the day of your VR. My husband and son did it while my daughter and I were having our hair done. They came back with pictures of our cake being decorated. I have many more fond memories of our VR than of our actual wedding 25 years ago!

Sounds lovely!

Were any of you able to get your make up done on the cruise, or just your hair?

I would like to know that one too :goodvibes I know yes to hair (it is an additional cost) but I have not heard about make-up.

I am a planner too... It is killing me waiting for more info (1st call was 2nd week of Jan. , we were told more info once prices came out)... :rotfl:
Thanks to Lisa though I have an idea what to expect.:thumbsup2

Just wanted to let you all know I just hung up with Cathy and she said she just got out of a meeting and the new cost for 2008 will probably be 1500$

audrad....I know that if we keep bugging her....we will all get the answers we are looking for!!! :) $1500 doesn't seem too much out of line with what you get. It is, after all the Disney experience :tinker: that we all want.

When we were in WDW for our 10th we didn't do a Disney renewal...just our own little thing at OKW, and then dinner in France....but the staff knew it was our anniversary and we received a wonderful card from Mickey and Minni, a bottle of Champagne with strawberries, and then in France, they went out of their way to be certain we were all very happy. Disney just knows how to do it right!!!
