We are use to Grey Goose vodka but its expensive. We are having a party so I want something more budget. Whats a good vodka that wont break the bank? Tia!

We also have a sam's Club and Costco card

What are you doing with the vodka? You don't NEED good vodka if you are infusing it or making bloody marys. If you are making dry vodka martinis, you do.

On this list I've had Prairie (which is local to me and good), Titos (also good) and of course Absolute. I'd buy them all again. I use Svedka - which is really cheap - when I do infusions. For a sipping or martini vodka, skip the Grey Goose anyway - overpriced for the quality - we drink Hammer and Sickle - but its worth it to find a place that does vodka flights (we have a Russian restaurant nearby that does them).

(You sent me down an internet rabbit hole. People actually like Svedka to drink, so I'd try that. They also like Skyye, which is another fairly cheap vodka I will use to mix but wouldn't drink straight. I like my vodka to have almost no taste - because that's what vodka should be)

Tito's should be less expensive than Grey Goose and just as good. In fact, when ordering a drink at a bar, I'll ask for Tito's and, if they don't have it, Grey Goose is my second choice.

Absolute is a great one to try. The cherry one mixed with Sprite and a little bit of genadine is yummy (Dirty Shirley (temple)).

I second Tito's! My first choice all the time! No hangovers.
Most of the liquor stores carry it for around $30 for the big bottle.
Unless you are serving people you don't like, do not serve Smirnoff or other crappy vodkas.
Another good vodka is Belvidere, but I think that's more expensive than Goose.

Sam's has a store brand of vodka that is pretty good. It's distilled 5x and I've never gotten an hangover from it. It's about $15 for the 1.75l bottle. Absolut is pretty good too, as well as Tito's.

Costco has two Kirkland vodkas. I think they're both fantastic. Kirkland Signature Vodka is rumored to be Grey Goose.

Both are well priced. I'd check one of those out.
Good to know :)

It will be mixed not straight

I don't want a hangover-lol!

$15 is that for the Kirkland signature that was mentioned in the 2nd post?

The Member's Mark vodka at Sam's Club is way cheaper (and better) than Grey Goose.

DH just got some Pinnacle Vodka and really likes it. Distilled 5x and made in France. I can't try it since I am pregnant. But it cost $20 for the 1.75 liter bottle and Ibotta has a $5 rebate, so it comes out closer to $15. Can be redeemed multiple times.

For what it's worth, I think Grey Goose has a better taste than Belvedere when drank straight. For mixing, matters less.

I want to try Tito's & Kirkland, & Member's Mark now!

Never been a fan of Smirnoff. Seagrams was the cheap stuff I drank before, but as with most booze, you get what you pay for. It's remarkable how much worse you feel after the same amount of cheaper vs. quality alcohol.

For mixed drinks Absolut is good. In fact we even use Svedka to make Disney Blue Glowtinis at home and it is fine. I think its cheaper than absolut.
Ketel one is my vodka of choice when going out...

Fun tip... "cheap" vodka can be improved IMMENSELY by running it through a Britta Filter. I'm serious. My husband travels to Russia frequently for work and brings me back "pretty" bottles of vodka a souvenirs. It's great for decoration, but some of it tastes about like rubbing alcohol. I wait until it's time to change the filter in our Britta pitcher, then run the swill through about 3 times, then toss the filter and re-bottle the booze. Always MUCH better. Domestically, Smirnoff is greatly improved with this trick.

As others have said, if you're mixing, it doesn't matter as much. For "straight," I like Absolute Mandarin or Citron. I find Grey Goose to not be worth the upcharge, but to each her own.
