I've already made a post about this entitled VMK lost it's mind on Ebay
I think it's pretty dumb too!

omg! that pin is so worthless! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: that is so stupid that they would sell it on ebay!

What i think is retarted is that on vmkguide they have pins for the credits and magic

By the way i am looking at a quest card now i will type excatly what it says

Redeemable through Sep. 30 2006 at vmk (registration required) Visit vmk for details and for awards of the coressponding prizes. VIRTUAL PRIZES MAY NOT BE SOLD OR TRANSFERED AND :charac4: HAVE NO CASH VALUE!!:charac4:

stupids that try to sell this on ebay me and my fridn were stupid enough to walk down a main street on strike saying!! NO MORE SELLING STUPID STUFF ON EBAY YOU IDIOTS!! call us crazy but i am seeing less and less stuff on ebay ever since we did that lol

Like I said before, personally, I don't have a problem with people listing these items on Ebay. Who cares? If people want to buy them at these prices, then let them! Even paying $99 for a set of pirate quest cards is a whole lot cheaper than having to book a WDW vacation to bring "little Johnny" to get the quest cards in person. For some people, ebay is the only option to get these items for the VMK players in their house.

Even if I wanted to sell my bag of kitchen trash on ebay for $50 (LOL), why is that MY problem if someone wants to pay $50 to buy it???

If buyers want to pay these prices, let them. Why get so upset with the sellers?

Never mind them selling the cards for money but who knows if your paying for NON-USED ones. They should make the cards ones where the codes are you have to scratch the box.

well, I wont call you crazy, but there is more VMK stuff on ebay than ever before, and it is going for alot more than it did 2 months ago.

I got a HM set for $20 in November. Try getting one for less than $75 now... good luck.

yeah I once saw and HM room code (just the room not the other stuff) going for $129!!!!!

As Disney collectibles, I don't have a problem with people selling the cards and bracelets, but selling multi-use codes that are posted on every VMK board out there seems a little sketchy to me. But, who am I to say - it's called free enterprise!

Like they say "there's one born every minute" if people are dumb enough to pay these prices, let them.

For those that say E-Bay is the only way to get stuff, try chatting to some Dis folks, there are always people going to the parks who may be able to help you in getting what you want.

It's up to Disney to clamp down, that is of course assuming they want to. At the end of the day it is creating more publicity for their game so what inclination do they have to stop this?

Again, it comes back to computer literacy, I say it all the time. I dont thihnk these people are suckers, I think they just dont know how to search the web, or are doing it for their children.

Trust me, thats what I do for a living. Fix computers. It is pretty sad when someone who has been working for the company for yearts does not know how to TURN ON their computer. And yes, I am dead serious. Kids coming out of college as interns who dont know where the Start button is. Ebay is tailor made for those people.

Agreed. Ever since the grilled cheese sandwich that purportedly sported the face of the Virgin Mary was sold on eBay, I think anything goes. The fools are not the sellers, but the buyers.

This is a pretty hot topic, and i got slammed once for being bummed that i accidentally sold my safari tent room while trying to sell off a load of skull rock rooms. i made a comment that i bought the code card on ebay, and a lot of people said i was breaking the vmk rules.

i think it's horrible that some people are selling codes for easily obtainable codes, like the skull rock room and the kellogg's magic codes. Making money off things that someone can get for free is not right. But when it comes to some items, like quest items, where someone has taken the time and money to go to a disneyland resort and complete the quests, then what is wrong with making a couple bucks? i don't think a hundred bucks for a couple codes is right. But i bought my safari room code for five bucks. That was not an unreasonable price for someone's time and trouble. And there was no way i was going to win a code on vmk. i stink at all the games, except for nedding. ;)

My husband and stepson spend $50 a pop on their games, and $60 for pay-per-view boxing shows. So if i spend a couple dollars on some codes that i am unable to obtain any other way, i think that's fine. Again, very NOT nice for the folks selling the free codes for cash, or asking for big bucks for any set of cards. But a couple dollars for some codes that someone spent the time to gather, i think that's okay. And, i have never had a problem redeeming the codes from cards i have purchased on ebay.

Anyhow, i will probably get slammed for this. But just had to add my two cents.
