VMK Gingerbread Contest Winners!

A flag is basically a reminder to the Hosts that our rooms were judged already. This is not something that you can wear on your virtual person. I don't really consider it a 'participation prize' ?

I did not know you could wear the blizzard beach chairs color green and blue on your virtual person, neither the green rocket that was given to runner ups last year in the space race ... Looks like the flag is seen differently depending on ppl anyway so please dont debate on it, for me when I got it last year, I considered it as a participation prize bc it is something you have for participating so it is like a participation prize.

I just wanted to ask a favor of the winners. If the participants do end up getting the jacket, hat and pin would someone post pictures so those of us who have not seen the pin can see it? And the jacket and hat as well?

I so agree there is so many people who should be proud of what they built.

And I will go one better than mtlhddoc2 not only am I having a earthquake but when it all calms done a major gas explosion. Poof all the candy will be made into a new form of fudge

As much as I hope to finally win I knew after looking at the rooms it would be slim chance with so many excellent rooms.

So I will be holding a congrats lose hers party in my room tonight. We should celebrate too. For really they were all well done and not winning is only in the eyes of the judges They are all winner to me.

Congrats to all the winners what amazing rooms!

After talking to Ink here is what we seem to remember:

everest competition participation prize was the yeti foot print pin

Water slide was 2000 credits and a green ski chair and team captain got a flag in the start room

space was the orange 8/9 pin and everyone got flag.

Also, the Top Ten Pin has been, in the past, given to the top ten in each category. It's title really does mean the top ten - just not how some of us are thinking.

I'm kinda confused as to how they got the names of the rooms. Didn't everyone have to title theirs "Gingerbread House ****" ?

It's obviously confusing, but it's my opinion that only the Winners will be given the "participation" prizes.

Why? The Top 10 Pin is listed, and we're not all going to get that.

I think they listed the Grand Prize prizes, the Runners Up prizes, and then the "participation" prizes that they all get.


I'll be delighted if I'm wrong, but I sincerely think I'm not.

Gosh, I am amazed to see that I am in the Honorable Mention section. This was my first build ever. My hat is off to all the people who built a room in this contest. Your imagination and creativity is truely marvelous to see.

I'm reading that the participation prizes go to everyone. It lists the indiviual prizes for both the winners and the runners-up. Then it lists that they also will get those participation prizes.

But, however they give out the prizes, I never expected anything more than the flag sitting in my room now.

So I'll be happy if we get something else, but I won't be disappointed if we don't.

What a difference a day makes....
