VMK Central Question

Ok... I feel like I have a pretty good understandig of most things VMK, how to trade, what to do with quests, both in-game, and in-park, etc. But I'm yet to understand much about either VMK central. I remember seeing pics a while back where they had computers in a "Rainbow Caverns/Big Thunder Mountain Cave" did I dream that or is it still there? I also remember seeing an animatronic Shrunken Ned. Anyone have some good pics of either VMK Central, I've never been and am therefore curious as to how it is set up.

Hey! I was there last March and I remember it being located inside Innoventions. Lots of notebook computers, not anything like at WDW. Not even close! Easy to use, lots of pc's available. Yes, it's a bit dark, cavern-like. Pretty cool really. I don't remember seeing an animatronic Ned, but I'm sure someone will know if this is true. Sorry, I don't have any photos, either. Just posting a response to keep your thread neat the top!

VMK at DLR is based on Big Thunder Mountain. You can sit in a saddle or a cactus there I think, but I'm not sure, that there used to be an underwater tomorrowland section there. It isn't there anymore, though.

VMK at WDW is almost like a gallery/store. They sold pins while I was there, and you played the game on the back of a card holder that looked like a vending machine. The ones at WDW look just like the onces at VMK central in the game

Huh, is there any Shrunken Ned anywhere? I could have sworn I saw one in a pic of a VIP tour or something... anyway, thanks for the info. It would be great if any of you out there have any pics to post as well .

there is a aninmated shrunken head ned in the bazar shop located in adventureland at disneyland. yes it was something they showed u on the vip tour. he's often not working though, but u weren't dreaming it's really there.

Phew, I'm not as crazy as everyone says, I knew I'd seen a ned in a picture somewhere, but since I've never been on the tour or in VMK Central, I thought i'd ask. Thanks kitty and the rest of you .

After googling it, I found a picture of Ned at DLR

EDIT - Sorry, I meant to say DLR. It's just that every time I'm there, he doesn't work... and there's like also a shrunken ned mini cruise at WDW from what I see from google pictures

I will find my photo of Ned later and post it.
He was working on Saturday (2/3) when I was there, but was broken Sunday and Monday. Arg!! I really wish I'd gotten a card. I've not seen him working the past 5-6 times I've been to Disneyland, and based on the fact we only go 1-2 times a year, that's really saying something!! DH also took a photo of me in Innoventions, which I'll also try to post, assuming I can brighten it up a bit (it's quite dim in there).

Yea, Ned has some little remote-controlled boats which you steer with a little mini-helm and you maneuver a mini version of the Junlge Cruise boat around rocks, volcanoes, tikis, waterfalls, etc. I did do this when I went to WDW, but there is no real "Ned" animatronic anywhere near it. The volcanoes smoke and some other cool stuff happens with the scenery in the water. It's right after the exit to the Jungle Cruise, one of those little known "mini attractions" that not many people know about.
