not only has taken taken over vmk but it has gone way to extream a few qoutes i have heard in vmk

on this thred you can:

I am really ashamed of what kids are doing here....

Like one time I was just trying to help ppl

well let me just explain how it happened..

I was in Main Street on VMK and there was this girl going around asking guys if they were taken nd I said that she should stop doing that or else she might get in trouble..So all she did is keep on going and a girl that was watching said " How about you stop talking and shut up!! "

And don't get me started about the ppl that come in trade rooms and start going asking ppl if they are taken..

Those girls meet boys rooms are alomost dominating the Popular Guest Room List..

P.S:I notice that guests and newbies do taken and bay be stuff more than other VMKers..



But alot of other ppl do it too..​

To take your comment a step further, VMK is NOT handling the issues. Instead they are banning people for saying they are out for the summer or they live on the west coast or they went to a BBall game.

Basically because they are NOT handling it. The new people tend to do it a lot more than us more experienced players, and us more experienced players should try to help guide them to more approrpiate behavior.

Talking about these things here on the boards provides a forum to discuss it. If you don't want to discuss it, then don't read the thread.

Arguments start because there are a lot of people with a lot of differing views. We are going to argue about it. Human nature.

As to the lynch mobs, well, I didn't see anyone say they should be lynched. I don't think anybody would want to see anyone lynched. Do you even know what that means? (Lynching literally means to put to death, esp. by hanging, by mob action and without legal authority. Lynch Law, a form of mob violence and punative justice, usually involving (but by no means restricted to) the illegal hanging of suspected criminals, was common in the Southern United States from the mid-19th to the mid-20th centuries. Before the Civil War, its victims were usually black slaves and persons suspected of aiding escaped slaves; lynching was mainly a frontier phenomenon. However, during Reconstruction, the Ku Klux Klan and others used lynching as a means to curb what they viewed as excesses within the Radical Republican Reconstruction government. Federal troops operating under the Civil Rights Act of 1871 largely broke up the Reconstruction-era Klan, but with the end of Reconstruction in 1877, white southerners regained nearly exclusive control of the region's governments and courts. Lynchings declined, but were by no means brought to an end. In 1892, 161 African-Americans were lynched. The largest single lynching incident in America's history was the lynching of 11 Italian-Americans in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1892. This incident was popularized in the HBO movie, "Vendetta," starring Christopher Walken.)

The person who put something in his signature about "should be banned" clearly stated it was his opinion. Last I checked, we are all entitled to that.

Having said all of this, we've had many, many, many threads on this before. We've all commented out the wazoo about how this shouldn't be allowed. VMK has stated that certain rooms and behaviors are not to occur. Meanwhile, it still does. And, it still bothers a large number of vocal people.

hey! im glad you started this thread! all this taken nonsense really drives me mad. the whole game now is just filled with it. you cant click on a person or go to another room or what ever, with out seeing it plastered all over the plce in one way or another! when you go to seach for guest rooms all you see is "bay be day care" and so on.

Im perfectly aware what the word lynch means. And yes everyone is entitled to their own opinion..........but so am I. It never hurts someone who has such a negative down with this and down with that to see the other side of the coin.

And anti taken bothers alot of ppl who just want to be in the game with that special someone they enjoy playing with and talking to. And thats my opinion and no one is about to change my mind anytime soon.

First yes VMK makes the rules AND should follow through with what they are and take care of those breaking them.
Now as for what you just said above. Fine play with someone "special" but it doesn't mean you have to be "taken" or do that. The game was not created for that. There are lots of us here that have kids and play the game. They don't need to see alot of the stuff on there. They don't need to be bothered by those that ignore any of the rules. The problem with this whole thing (and its been mentioned in the past), is no one has a clue about who is on the other end of the game. If someone is so willing to break the rules in one way then who is to say they won't break them another and start handing out personal info to someone they don't know. Its one thing to play the game with others and have fun like any friends would but do they have to be "taken" by the person. To me using the word "special" is another way of saying "taken". That is just me though. But I rather not see this stuff which is why, as I have said, I try to avoid being in rooms with others when I get my points. Which I know you can't do with the ghosts or if I want to ride a ride but that is fine. I don't see it often in there and when I have seen things I speak up if its bad. I remind those of the rules and if they keep going then a report is in order. BUT its only if its really bad and out of hand. Which it usually starts with the "are you taken" and moves on from there to worse with to many. Remember this game was not created for this at all. It was to be a safe place for those to play in(mostly kids) like they were in like a Disney park. Sadly its only going to get worse with summer vacations starting.
And I don't get disgusted easily but some of what has been said here on the board about recent conversations they have seen is actually disgusting to see.
