I've just finished watching the youtube videos of it all. How heartbreaking for Taylor at first, but I'm glad that Beyonce was kind enough to giver her that moment.

And yes, Lady Gaga is a little out there....

We watched some of the VMA's - had heard the MJ tribute at the beginning would be awesome - and it was, but we had to delete it after the Jack Black prayer to Satan and Lady Gaga on stage murder by the paparazzi - MTV just isn't what it used to be!

I just rewatched the Lady Gaga performance.

I must say that it was strange...REALLY out there....

BUT...

I loved the choreography!!!! Mark from So You Think You Can Dance is one of the dancers!!!!!

I'm not a Lady Gaga fan, but she does write some GREAT dance music!

I posted this on the other thread but thought I would post this here as well. What happened to Taylor Swift made me so sad, I just can't understand how someone can be so rude to a young woman who deserved that award just as much as any other artist nominated. I am such a huge Taylor Swift fan, I love her music, and I love her video for You Belong With Me. Not even that, I love her because of the image she sets. Many of my friends and I respect her because she is okay with just being her and not having to go out and party or whatever else. My friends and I don't party, drink, drugs, nothing, we have self-respect, and there are just so many young adults out there that do all of the following and so many public figures that do as well; its hard to feel as though there isn't something wrong when you aren't involved in any of those activities, but when there is a young woman who stands up for all of the right things you know there is nothing wrong with not getting involved in things that would only lead to trouble. She is so relatable to young woman like myself who just enjoy being with friends and family and not having to live on the wild side of things. Kayne West completely degraded a song that is so relatable to so many young girls and an artist who is very respected, not only for her music, but for the role model she has become. I also have to say there is a facebook group supporting kayne west's actions and it just keeps growing, I don't understand people at all.

Jack was portraying his video game character from the new game he's promoting...however, JB has ALWAYS had that twisted side to him and his music. It's an act.

Security was pretty much non existent.

I dunno about that. No they didn't tackle Kanye and drag him out, but could you imagine the uproar if they had? Aside from his outburst there weren't any security issues.

I had to look it up.
Did anyone notice at the beginning of Gaga's thing, the crashing sound and scream, (which I know was part of her "show"), Pete Wentz and the other guy looked horrified..like something bad was happening? They r eaither good actors, or didn't realize what was happening. Anyway, it made me laugh.

Like many years ago when Fartman flew bare-a**ed across the stage?
I think they've toned it down quite a bit.
