After seeing Dr. Oz talking about Vitamin D this morning on his show, it has me thinking I may need a a few extras beyond a multi vitamin (which I take). Looking at doing extra D, flaxseed, primrose and extra E (since it seems all the 'oil' ones are suppose to be good :))

Any others worth a mention???

OK, I will share this because it was prescribed by my sister's doctor, a orthopedic. surgeon.

My sister had ankle reconstruction surgery 2 yrs ago. So she is having a lot of pain in her foot and cramping, like her foot "freezes".

He suggested she try and take B12 because it helps with nerve damage.

Well she has been on it for a few weeks and she says she cannot believe the difference! It actually reduced her nerve pain.

I am also looking at vitamins as well. Looking at Riboflavin, I think I might be deficient with the symptoms I have. Currently, I take none, which is probably not good.

What vitamin brand do you take?

I take my multi and along with it, fish oil, flaxseed oil, magnesium, black cohosh, red clover, and 2 calcium tabs. :thumbsup2

Nature's Bounty or Naturemade brands.

I take D3, extra C and Fish Oil for the omega 3 fats. I take a multi-vitamin also.:thumbsup2

Remember, you should always talk with your doctor before taking anything' even vitamins. Sometimes too much vitamins can do you harm.:)

My SIL takes b12 and swears by them :thumbsup2

I order my vitamins through Vitacost, usually the NSI brand

I am currently taking:

B12- I have a B12 deficiency (1000mcg)
Biotin- It helps with some of the side effects from my methotrexate (3mg)
Folic Acid- I take a prescription dose (1mg) also to lessen the side effects of methotrexate. methotrexate can deplete your folic acid
Vitamin D/Calcium

I take a multi vitamin plus a vitamin b complex recommended by my doctor to help with some issues I was having.

In addition to my multivitamin, I take:
Iron, Folic Acid, Calcium, B12, Magnesium, D3

in addition to a multivitamin (i take 2, as gastric bypass patients don't absorb all nutrients from everything they eat), i take 4 calcium pills a day and three 100 mg vitamin C tablets. i also get a b-12 shot each month, because my body no longer absorbs it from the food i eat.

None. I tried taking a multi, but it made me so sick to my stomach, I was throwing up. Reminded me of taking prenatals... I also tried taking calcium but it made my reflux unbearable.
