How should we store our vitamins we take in our carry on bags ?

Should we leave them in their original containers ?
If we use the original containers, they will not all fit in a quart size zip-lock bag.

Could we just place them in small snack size bags ?

One of the vitiamins - D - is a liquid center. What would TSA think or do with our vitamin D ?

Thanks for your advice :goodvibes

I'm GUESSING, but the only ones the TSA might have an issue with would be the gel caps. Can you put just THOSE in your 3-1-1 bag (as a 'just in case') and put the rest however you want in your carryon.

Well, you never know what rules TSA is going to be more strict about, or enforce wrongly...

But my experience (I fly about 100 segments a year) is that I have carried some Nyquil liquitabs in my carryon without having them in my 3-1-1 bag for over 2 years now.

Vitamins and supplements do not need to be in their original container.

TSA does not equal DEA, if you are traveling solely within the 50 US states you do not need to have any medication in an original container. A few countries will require it. I travel weekly for work and carry my pills (Vitamin D included) in a 7-day pill box.

I agree. My CoQ10 is a gel cap. They are always in a 7 day pill box, inside my carry on. I've never had a problem. I also take a Victoza pen for my diabetes. It is not even labeled with my name. Now I do pull that, it's needles, and the little frozen blue ice thingys I use to keep it cold, but they're in their own zip lock and I've never had a problem with them either. Meds do not need to go in your 3-1-1 quart bag.

They can be put on the carry-on bag and they allow them in zip locks or the container as well.
