Vistana Resort 1-bedroom "Full Kitchen"

Hi all,
When I look over my ressie, it says that my one-bedroom has a 4/4 occupancy and that it will have a "full kitchen." When I went to the Starwood website, I noticed that the Lakes and Cascades one-bedroom layouts (400-ish and 500-ish sq. ft.) show "kitchenettes" and that the "Premium one-bedroom" in the Cascades (800-ish aq. feet) is listed as having a "full kitchen." Does this mean that I should expect the premium unit? And if for some reason I don't receive one at check-in, do I have the right to bring up that I am apparently paying for a "full kitchen?"

Thanks in advance!

I have stayed in a one bedroom in both Cascades and Lakes. I think by "full kitchen", they mean all of the appliances are there. The fridge is the same size as a 2 bdrm but the stove/oven is a smaller size. There is a dishwasher too. They are all in a straight row like a kitchenette but even the 2 bdrm kitchens are not eat in. HTH.

18 days to my unit in the Lakes section.

Thanks for the input, Kris. The floor plans show the 1-bedrooms with the kitchenettes (in a straight row), but the "full kitchen" appears to be an actual kitchen (not eat-in) that has a counter going around it. What I am thinking is that if the website itself differentiates "kitchenette" from "full kitchen," that perhaps the mention of a full kitchen in my ressie means I will get a larger/premium unit? I am less concerned about how big of a kitchen I have but would love to have a premium unit that's twice the size of the norm!

Actually, I just thought of something. When we stayed in a one bedroom at Lakes it was one half of the lock out unit. It looked exactly like the 2 bdrm just without the second bdrm. The kitchen WAS full with the wrap around counter. Cascades is the only section which has units that were built as one brms. Lakes has lockouts split into 2 one bdrms as does Cascades. So I guess you might ask for the larger side of a lock out if available.

Good luck.

17 looong days, 20 looong hours till our Lakes trip :earboy2:

Just noticed you were a fellow NJ'er! We're going during Jersey Week too.

Kris, we are actually going down prior to NJ Week. My neighbor (who is a teacher) will be at WDW at the same time as you, along with many other New Jerseyans!

Thanks for the extra info. I will join Diamond Lane and request a 1-bedroom in the Lakes. The website says that the Cascades has the "premium one-bedroom, " but shows nothing of the sort for the Lakes section. However, it sounds like you had a "premium" if you had that larger kitchen. Do you remember how large the unit was?

I stayed at VR 1br last July via skyauction and used Diamond lane. I saw the same unit you did and requested that. When we checked in, I asked her if we would be in Cascades and she replied, "Yes, because it's Friday, that's where we would place you for a 1br unit anyway." I think it was the premium, it was nice and large, and had a whirlpool tub in the master br, so I assume it is the larger side of the 2br lock out. It did have the kitchen as the other poster described. Does anyone know if Lakes 1brs have the whirlpool? This July we'll be back again for part of our stay, and would like the same unit and location, but we'll be checking in on a Sunday, so I'm not sure if we can get it...but it can't hurt to ask.

Sounds like you did have a "premium 1-bedroom" Laurabelle. The tub is a good indication of that. We're checking in on a Saturday, so I wonder where they are going to put us. I thought that the 1-bedrooms were only in the newer sections. So if Friday is Cascades, then I guess Lakes?
