We are newbies to the whole rental thing. I have recieved several quotes from each place and they are comprable. Granted the WH has a plunge pool but Vista Cay seems more like a resort. Any opinions?

We are being quoted an average of 950.00 for a week in November, is this a good price?

TIA

I've stayed at WH a couple of times but not Vista Cay. They are both built by the same company: Pulte. From looking at VC website I would say they are both very similar as far as amenities go. I can't really see where VC would be considered any more of a resort than WH. The main pool is huge at WH with a zero entry area and large waterslide. There's a big castle play ground for kids and tennis, putting green, theatre, fitness, games etc. There's no organized activities at WH but I don't know about VC. VC would give you a closer access to SW, Universal and Int.Dr. WH is closer to Disney. Either one will get you to any parks in 5 - 20 min.
We've stayed in a couple of townhouses and really did appreciated having the splash pool for times when we're too tired to go to the main pool, like at night when you get back from the parks and want to relax. There's also 4 - 6 bedroom pool homes at WH. We're renting a 6 br for our Nov. trip.
Did you get your rates from owners or through a company? Most times you can rent from an owner at a better rate. We usually use vrbo.com but there's also windsorhillsrent.com and homeaway.com
The price of the home depends on what the home has for amenities. When you rent directly from the owner you can see exactly what that home has and how it's decorated. That price does seem a little high compared to some I've seen for Nov. but does it include tax and pool heat ( WH ).
I don't think you'll go wrong with either WH or VC.

Thank you so much for your view. I guess now WH is the frontrunner having the pool and all. The prices I have been quoted included the tax and pool hear so I guess it's fair. I wonder if the prices are negotiable? Anyone know?

TIA

Thank you. I figured that out. Of course I would prefer a pool home at Vista Cay:goodvibes

Curious..why? What led you to think that one is more of a resort than the other?

Are you going to Universal or Sea World only or something?

Just the pictures I have seen on the web, Vista Cay looks more like a resort and less like a community. They are both beautiful.

I must be missing something? I think they both look like a Resort, I love Windsor Hills, never stayed at Vista Cay, but I'm sure it's just as beautiful. If you plan to do Disney, WH would be best, IMO. I think both Resorts fall under "community".
