Visiting in April ??????

Anyone visiting WDW in April? We will be in WDW in April to celebrate my father in law's B-DAY! He is taking all 20 of us for HIS B-day!!! Pretty cool!! Has anyone stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside before? Never stayed there wondering what it's like??

Me and my dd will be there in April, but we're staying at POP. This is her first trip and my first one as an adult. The last time I was there I was 15 and now I'm 31! So it's all new to me too!

We have stayed there before on one of our first trips. We enjoyed it, it has a beautiful pool, you can go fishing... we stayed in a great room too. We are not VAcation club owners, but I would stay here again if we couldn't get into the DVC!

Does help to get info. about the hotels since we have only stayed at one so far. Our first trip to Disney as a family was Nov. 2004 when our daughter was 31/2 and I was 5 months pregnant. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for our first D experience. I have been to Disney before when I was young, but that was in the 70's and 80's. So now my husband and I are starting a whole new adventure with 2 Disney girls!! The Riverside sound like fun from friends I spoke with, and has a great pool!! Looking forward to a wonderful time!!

I will make sure to let you know how POR is. I can't wait!!!! It would have been so cool if we were there at the same time. We could have met up for drinks. Looks like we'll need to plan another trip sometime

Satyed at Riverside a couple times very nice place. Open grounds, the kids love watching the ducks on the water. Beautiful gardens at the Mansions and walkways. Nice large pool and a kiddie pool. Their is a little wooden playground.

Have a great time, don't stress with that many people. Take it step by step and enjoy every moment. It is a chance of a life time to get everyone to go together like that. Consider doing something crazy for his birthday. Have everyone wear the same color that day or make matching shirts to celebrate.!!

GREAT WEBSITE!! Thanx, it gives me an idea about what our room will look like. The buildings are quite beautiful! Yes! it is a chance of a lifetime concidering he said that he will only do this once. So all of us are very grateful to him for this opportunity. My DSIL is a manager of one of the Disney Stores where we live in CT. She has a lot of surprises in store for her father and we are all on board for the fun. Doing 2 character dinners, having him ring the dinner bell at the Liberty tavern etc...
Going to be a blast!!!
