Visiting Dec 4 - 11th?

We were there last Dec. during Pop Warner...We stayed at the All Star Sports....We never had a problem....For the most part they were respectful and consderate but as with any groups of kids they will show off....and we only noticed it once or twice and we did notice a fire extiguisher box broken and some trash on the grounds.....Crowds at the parks well we never saw them except that friday MGM was packed with them and come to find out they had a special event for Pop Warner that evening at MGM after the parked closed....I would avoid MGM that friday due to that event....At least we are planning to this year 3rd thru 12th.....We are also staying at the All Star Movies.....They will be playing there games most of the days.....I think the Pop Warner site has a complete schedule.....I will see if I can get a link.....I wouldnt change you dates for this event

Anyone can go to that and it could take most of the day, as long as the sun is out. But honestly, would you want to try and attempt to go to MK with this going on?

Wow! Glad to hear so many DISers going. I will try to remember to wear something lime green (do lime green shoelaces count?)

This will be the second time I've been during the Christmas season. I went a few years ago the last week of November/First week of December. Actually now that I think of it, it was December 2001, I can remember because I worked at Enron at the time and called my boss in the middle of the week to see if I still had a job (which I didn't because they were bankrupt). I took it pretty good. The way I looked at it, if you are going to find out that your job just went bye-bye, you want to find out when you are in the happiest place on earth. That really softened the blow

Anyhow, we stayed at OKW, which was fantastic. We had a great time, the crowds were pretty non-existent with the exception of the parade crowds at MVMCP. I can honestly say the only time the crowds were better was when I went in 2002 in September and the crowds were NOWHERE because everyone thought a hurricane was going to hit WDW and it didn't come but people cancelled their vacations because they were afraid it might come.

Well, keep the thread going, someone post when the December hours are out (they may be out, I just haven't checked yet).

I am also doing a very full 4 day trip. I'll be there with my DS , Ian, aka "Danger Boy" from 12/3-12/6. We're arriving around 10:30 a.m. 12/3, and will be hitting MK that day, and then going to CG for dinner. If we're not too tired, we'll go see the decorations at the resorts after dinner. Saturday we're going to AK in the a.m., and MGM in the evening, Sunday we're doing Chef Mickey's for breakfast, Epcot , with a late lunch at Rose and Crown, and MVMCP in the evening. Monday the 6th we're going to MK, having a late lunch at LTT, and then leaving mid afternoon for our 5:30 flight home (phew- I get tired just thinking about it!)

Tracy, Pop Warner is a sporting group for kids. Their football "superbowl" will be at Dec. 4th-11th for their Nationals. Football games and cheerleading competitions.

We will be there from Dec.4-8 and MVMCP on Dec.7. Excuse my ignorance, but what is the Osborne Family Lights thing at MGM? When is it and how long is it?

We (5 adults) will be there from Nov. 30 through Dec. 6...unless we decide to add another day or two. You know how hard it is to leave that place!

We aren't planning to follow too much of a schedule. We're going to let the magic lead us and be very flexible this trip as to where we go and when.

And I wouldn't worry about the crowds. Keep in mind that the people posting on these boards make up of less than 1 percent of daily attendance (and that is being generous).

We will have very doable crowds. Let's just cross our fingers for a nice little heatwave (80s, anyone?) for the first couple weeks of December!

I agree completely. Yes there maybe some people, but nothing like or at least I hope not compared to the week of Easter. Remember that kids are still in school and why jepordize finals for the 1st 2 weeks when they can go the last 2 weeks of December. I personally cannot wait. I know as soon as we get there and check in, I am on the boat racing around by WL to start it off and take it all in.

My sister and I will be there, too - 2nd-5th at USF and 5th-8th at WDW ! Bringing our little nephew (7 in a few days) - our own kids are all grown up and either in school or working, so we've resorted to kidnapping other children in the family to come and play with us at WDW !!! First MVMCP and CP for all of us - I've seen Osbourne lights, but am trying desperately to fit it in again so I can see the new location !!! Way too little time, but it's all we have and we'll love every minute !!!

I expect to see lots of lime green - don't be shy to say "HI!"!
