My family, husband, 13 year old son, and his 13 old friend will be visiting London in 2 weeks and then on to Disneyland Paris. We are very excited about this adventure.

Have booked a flat for our stay at Lancaster Gate. I am a little worried, hope this area will be an O.K. base for sightseeing.

Thank you for any advice, looking forward to visiting your country.

 ! Hi there :) !

It's in a great location near to Kensington Gardens and you have about three tube (subway) stations nearby which you can use to get to other parts of London easily. There are lots of hotels in that area.

I really would recommend avoiding rush hour on the tubes. They are busy most of the time, but you do not want to travel when people are going to and from work believe me!

I really hope the weather is kind to you during your trip - if you are planning on going on the London Eye, choose a clear day so that you get better views!

I hope you have a fantastic time :)

Thank you so much for your advice. We are less than two weeks away so I guess I had better get serious about packing.
