I had GF reserved but I did not like the 15% discount so I changed to Poly club level and got the 25% discount. It was less expensive to stay club level at the Poly than lagoon view at GF. I have never stayed club level so that will be fun. And I will spend less money eating out. Only downside is that the quiet pool will be closed but that is not a big deal for me.

I am tempted to do this. Only reason I didn't is because we just stayed CL at Poly in July (which we loved, by the way!). So I'm trying to book something different, and we've never stayed at GF. I'm going to see what happens on Monday when I can play around with dates/resorts online.

I booked my package a few days ago. My discount was not that much because I am staying at Pop without a dining plan. However, I did not want to miss out on getting a standard room at Pop for February. Originally I was going to wait until October to book. Sometimes when discounts come out, some room choices become limited.

Unfortunately no - if you were going to apply to try to beat the public release Monday it won't work.

Thanks! I am not even sure I want it LOL! I have a bank account at Chase and just ordered a Disney debit card yesterday. I only really wanted it for the Character spot at Epcot LOL! I have an AP and TIW and I'm a D23 member so I get discounts already.

There is a pretty sweet signup bonus - $200 statement credit when you spend $500 within 3 months. My wife and I may or may not have both opened one up to get $400...

fyi I had the CM price out club level options at various hotels. It was easier for me since my dates are not flexible and I got a good CM. Here are the discounts for Value season in Jan

Poly club--25% with quiet pool construction
GF--15%
GF CL (various types)--15%
WL CL--25% with construction
YC CL--25%

Original discounted booking (free dining) was December 4 night stay in Standard Room for 2 adults, one infant @ POP w/ 3 day tix plus PH option, and DDP was $1,461.86

CM seems to be having issues applying PS&D discount (RO not available for my dates). She says everything matches up, but wont go through. On hold while she talks to "Guest Services"

UPDATE:
She was able to apply PS&D to current reservation with no changes in options. Total cost was $1,649.94... almost $200 more. Needless to say, I kept original discount.

I looked at the website, what I see into April are room only discounts.

It sounds like it bumped you to full price. I'd call again just to make sure.

Could someone confirm that when you called as a cardholder to apply the PS&D promo last week that it shows as that in your new emailed confirmation? It's not saying that for mine, just says Magic Your Way. I can't test it on their site because Pop is showing no rooms for that promo anymore, but I'm curious.

I believe I have cracked the code on the SPD Discount for Moderate Resorts - here it is!

TICKETS: No Discount (no surprise there);
ROOM: $1.00 Off Rack Rate per night (no that isn't a joke!);
DINING: Adult #1 = 55% OFF Dining Plan; Person 2-5 = 45% OFF Dining Plan (regardless of adult or child).

That is that folks - SPD has been cracked once again! For everybody except solo travelers this years SPD is most certainly lower than last years. More people should consider the room only discount (especially if your eating habits don't jive with the dining plan and you think you would spend less!).

So for some reason I had a feeling something wasn't right with my quote for the PS&D package, because the discount only added up to about $100 (3 adults, a 10 year old for a week in a standard in Pop). Kept checking the Disney site but no Pop rooms were open for me to compare with this package. Last night it appeared and, lo and behold, I was right. When I called to apply the Visa cardholder promo, the girl applied a ROOM discount and then added the dining plan. She never did the PS&D promo. I called last night and the first CM said the difference I was seeing was that I just didn't follow it through to the end to where the tax was added. I figured he could be right (and I was about to go into a restaurant with my husband) so I apologized and ended the call. Went back to my phone and followed it through while we waited for our table and I was right - it was over $200 less than what my email quote said AFTER tax. The second CM processed it for me. I feel SO much better now, and it really feels like I got an actual discount.
