Well, I need to run to the packy now, and stock up on tonight's libations, because I just got the word...I DO NOT HAVE TO WORK!!!!! The snow is just starting, and I hope the packy's open early, because there is going to be a rush on it now.

You know, I was thinking....maybe the Pod Squad will want to hire you to protect them on this cruise we have coming up...not that we'd try to blow them up, but they seem a little nervous being stuck with us on a boat...

I'd love to accept that job Mindy. There's only one problem, I would demand to be paid in "Mogeetos", which after 2 or 3 would render me ineffective and I would be fired! Maybe they'll make me the doorman at the Walt Disney suite on board ship, to keep out all the undesirables!

We will just be bouncing up and down our stairs (the computer's upstairs) and the TV with Animal Crossing is downstairs. Animal Crossing (Wii) is having their countdown to the New Years too.

My DH got out of the Times Square detail this year, thank God - I've been alone many a New Year's Eve, so having him celebrate w/us is really great. We're going to my sister's party, so I don't think I'll be here to party w/you guys. Have a great time!

my mom and I tried this and it was yummy- champagne, vodka, cranberry, lime, shaken! yum~! sort of like a cosmo but with champagne?

still figuring out our plans tonight- either staying home or heading to my sisters a block over--- not sure I want to drag our munchkin over there. so i might be on chat!! drink in hand of course.

Of COURSE you're welcome! Just have fun trying to keep up. Remember, go to options and make sure "Display Sender and Message In a Single Line" is CHECKED, then expand the screen to fullscreen. Put on your best spectacles and focus...at least until the moejeetoes kick in.

Once you're in, you might need to make your font larger, and pick an unusual color, so we can actually read you. But don't make your font TOO large... I think those options will be down in the bottom of the window near your text entry line, if I remember right.

Oh, and unless you want to wake the children, turn off your computer speakers or uncheck all the alert sounds. Of course, you'll wake them with laughing anyway, no doubt.

Military, Counter Terrorism division for the Dept. of Homeland Security. I'm not sure how fun it is, but it's definitely not boring!

Chat can be intimidating because it moves VERY VERY VERY VERY fast.

Making your font larger helps, as does making sure that the names and text are all on one line. Maximizing the screen size also helps.

Finally....realizing that this is much like a large cocktail party where you can hear all conversations at once. It gets a "stream of consciousness" vibe after a while and all roads lead to food....particularly cake.

Now....I am unaware of alcohol being consumed during regular Chat. It might be, but no one has stated that they are enjoying a cocktail. Tonight could be different. Tipsy Chat sounds fun and safer than being on the road.

Please....just jump in with both feet...realize that you are not going to be able to keep up (no one is able to keep up) and have a good time.

You truly never know what will happen in Chat. information is sometomes given. People have won prizes for knowing about Walter's veggie preferences.
Ya just never know. It's like a box of chocolates....

How long does champagne stay good in the fridge? Being the heavy drinker that I am, I think I have a split in the fridge from 3 or 4 years ago. Do they serve Rosa Regale on board the Wonder. I have really wanted to try it. I might get a glass in Epcot before we leave. I much prefer Asti to Champagne, so I am hoping Rosa is like Asti in that respect.
