So that is how the boogies were born....I was not there when that happened and always wondered.......

OK, I will tell the story of how I first met Jellyrolls.

We were in the haunted mansion room (I am so sorry I forget whose) and there was a wake going on. Jelly was wailing and sobbing for the poor, dearly departed... Henry! I felt so sorry for her, and after trying to comfort her, offered her some "face paper."

She replied, "No problem, I already used your dress."

It is the biggest laugh I have ever had in VMK :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I made a good friend then, and boogies was born :Pinkbounc

You do realize that Jellyrolls also owns VMK drycleaners .. don't you? She is a very enterprising young woman - who makes sure there is a market for her services!
(I wouldn't have been surprised if she was handing out her dry cleaning business cards at that fake wake for 'Henry') :rotfl2:

THAT is a great VMK history lesson! I had always wondered about the boogie thing - just thought it was a funny Jellyrolls thing that always made me smile - now I know the real background and that makes it even more fun! Thanks for sharing, C.

So that was the boogies were started.Wow,finally the most interesting part of vmk history unfolds.

Ok, my turn... the other night I was chilling with a good friend in my travel company office (Long Live the Big Squid) and she typo'd...

Instead of typing ' met ' she typed ' med '.

Whoa... she said, ' we can say med? '

After that, we must have come up with 20 different ways to use ' med ' in a sentence: I need my med, can I borrow a med, would you like to buy some good med, hey little kid want to try some med, etc., etc.

Somewhere along in there we realized that we had not been visited by the White Glove o' Warning yet, and proceeded to tempt - you know, living dangerously, "Hey Staff?" and standing at the front of the screen waving...

Just a humorous moment... shoot, if you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

:grouphug: Wow, awesome thread idea! I have been thinking back on many great times!

Bella~ Oh how I remember the day we all went driving around in Herbie to pick up boys and shoes...what a perfect combo! :goodvibes

Brain~ Hmmm...so YOU are the dirty culprit who likes to take pics of MissBelle in unflattering outfits...one day MissBelle will be able to avoid all paparazzi!

I seriously cannot remember every detailof the past 7-8 months...but going back to Beta when there were a few of us who just hung out on the main street corner joking on the popcorn machine...having our first official Zeta girl meeting and eating lots and lots of minute cake (teehee)...setting up my room like the AC (adventure's club) and having Briar and Bear sing the club anthem while Bear acted as TheColonel :)... meeting some truly great friends! oh, Magic, remember when it was so hard to win at fireworks?!?! and then you became such a pro! Magic was my very first Dis friend I made on VMK :cloud9:
Thanks for the memories everyone!!

I remember those old days of hanging out on the street corner...wearing green so we would know someone else was a DIS. Kind of like a secret club. Now we are everywhere. ROFL

I remember the days of standing in a line dancing.
I remember getting back from our trip in June and having the first Haunted Mansion room. ROFL (and having a wake for my dearly departed credits)
I remember the day we were all so proud to have our Day One badges appear.

It's been a lot of fun. I honestly have to say that not only does the game get me more excited to go to the parks, it has helped me meet some truly great people. You can never have a bad day if you log on to VMK. You just meet up with too many people who make you smile.

Tiske's right. You can never have a bad vmk day.

I have so many friends I can talk to and play Mansion with.

Fly and I usually play at least a game a night. We don't win usually but we have fun.Right Fly?

Yes and you must listen to your parents and get enough sleep! I only wish I could log into vmk from work, but I can not get past the firewall. I can sneak on to these boards and check them out though. That is why you can not find me in the game sometimes.
Back to the Topic:

I also remember when we all dressed up like Hagen! That was fun.

And, everytime I see Aengus I put on the Indian Feather hat that he gave me when we met at the surf shop. Everyone was wearing one and I thought he gave me one to borrow. When I tried to give it back to him he said "What do I look like, an Indian Giver?" That was HILARIOUS!

And I will never forget qruthie for giving me a sorcerer hat when I first started playing vmk, back when they were very very rare!

Oops boss is coming, back to work............

Dis People are the best! :disrocks: :disrocks: :disrocks:

I remembered other stories...

My first VMK day,I tried to add the yeti to my friend list.

I will never forget the day TwirlerGirl gifted me a Bird hat.I love it death!

I'll always remember the trying to sing Christnas songs, but the dictionary wouldn't allow any of them:)

My first time at closing,CL_CapeGirl's room.CL_TwirlerGirl got last word.:)

The day I became CL_CaptainBrain.

Wow. I'm touched that the boogies mean so much to everyone! Who knew that they were so popular?

I have lots of great memories with my VMK friends. I remember one night when I was in my Jellyrolls room, and I got a rope stuck in the room that I couldn't take out. I noticed you could walk through it so we started playing him bow (Limbo). Cape girl sure got a kick out of that one.

It's always a blast playing pirates with the capes. We're team Cape Rolls. We'll have to plan haunted mansion games one of these days, capes ;)

I also enjoy the pirates tournaments I've run in the past. It's a lot of work to get it up and running, and make sure that everyone gets in on the action, but it's worth it because people have so much fun :)

Of course there are the ugly parades.

One of my favorite things was the night we were the our us line (chorus line) in our blue dress tops, black pants, and top hats. We were "one sing you are sent say sun."

Jellyrolls

I remember the very first time I found out about friendlist, I had over thirty friend requests. lol.

I think the most rememorable moment was when i first went to the surf spot and Irish was being the guard and scaring people off. Even though she was who knows how many miles away, she scared me. lol. I owe a lot to the spot. Thanks surf.

Man that was funny, It was in my HM formal dance room. I started telling everyone to pay there respects to "Henry" and it just "Jellyrolled" on from there! LOL. She was just a riot!

Sorry to hear my dances being reffered to as wakes. I guess I need to get a better band!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Then again, you could say it was the start of "Boogie Nights" on VMK :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Ears! Sorry I forgot it was your room. It all comes back to me now. Uld people with bad memory. I love the "Birth of the Boogies" :Pinkbounc
