Paid my final balance a week ago. The last payment date is August 19th. This morning, an invoice arrives seeking the final balance! Grrrrrr.

I have tried to reach somebody, talk to somebody, on their awful help lines but after holding for twenty minutes gave up - and anyway, why should I pay for a long and quite unnecessary call.

For all I know my money has been credited to somebody else. I'm just going to wait and see if I get a threatening letter after the due date. I have proof I paid.

I'm fed up with them. In fact all of us are really fed up with them. We had trouble with the reservation at the beginning, and now at the end. Frankly this may indeed be the end where this family and Virgin are concerned. Never again. I read all the nice comments about Expedia on another thread, which I endorse fully, and wonder about future trips and our arrangements.

Virgin were our first choice after hassle free travel with them in the past, but now......

I am sure that you have just recieved a standard letter that may have been sent as that is how the system works. Even though you made your payment a week ago may mean that they may have crossed in the post, so to speak. Best bet is to go to the VH website and enter your booking ref and see if the balance is zero.

Log onto the VH website - you can check the status of your hols, including payments made. These computer generated letters are often generated upto a week before they are finally sent out. I'm sure it's all fine, but at least looking on line also tells you whether or not your tix have been sent!
