I have just upgraded my tickets from PE to UC for our holiday to Orlando on 5 April. We are flying on the 12.45 flight and the plane is smaller as there is no middle isle. Any advice on what seats to go for as currently we have 6A,7A and 8A.
From the pics 6A looks very tight for space.
Am really excited now as have never flown UC. Cannot wait!
Ah my area of expertise!
There is no middle set of UC seats on any of the LGW 747's.
6A, and 6K are the closest seats in the UC suite. We always go for them (and 7A) as with our little un, its best for being close to mummy. (My sig shows him in 6A) Also you get an extra shelf in front of the seat for odds and sods, though no overhead loackers (but theres plenty of space in the cabin regarding lockers anyway)
Who is going with you?
Keep away from the bar on the way home (11 & 12 A & K) as they can be noisy if someone is using that bar and you are trying to sleep.
We prefer being across the isle from each other than next to each other as you can catch the seat change button when talking over the divider.
OBI WARNING! OBI WARNING!
Once you have "turned left" on the aircraft, there is no turning back to the other classes!
Get to the airport for as close as 7am as you can to savor the delights of the Clubhouse as long as possible!
Any other questions, please just ask.
Below are pictures of the cabin (they are slightly out of focus, because always after a couple of hours in the Clubhouse, I am slightly squiffy!!! )
1) looking up from seat 7A to the bar area (G-VROS, "English Rose")
2) Very squiify shot of Looking down towards 6A & K (A on left hand side), 7A & K, 8A & K and the edge of 9A & K
