Just been trying to sort my tickets out for our trip in May.
I understand that the prices have increased for the 14 Day Ultimate Ticket to £235 and the Universal 2 day 2 park increased to £78.

I also believe unless you have not booked your holiday with them you can no longer purchase tickets with Virgin. I am flying with VA but have booked through an agent. Not very happy as I spoke with them on Friday about this and said I would call them today to confirm booking. No mention of any price increases on Friday.

So where can I get my tickets/vouchers from at the best price.

Not happy at all as we have 8 people travelling so it is a lot of money.

:rolleyes1:sick::rolleyes1

Try Charter Travel. I booked my tickets through them and they were cheaper than Virgin.
I'm so glad I booked them early, as I wondered if prices may go up because the exchange rate would have changed so much since the brochures were printed last year!

I have just booked mine today with Premier travel who advertise on that other well known british disney forum they were slightly cheaper than charter and are hard tickets not vouchers!

Hi,
We are also travelling in May and need to get tickets soon. Dont know how competitive they are 4 Disney Tickets because we have some none expiry from last year but they seem cheap to me!!

Im really rubbish and dont know how you post the link. But to give you an idea of prices they were as follows:
Disney 14 day Ultimate = Adult £209
Child £179
Universal 2 Park Bonus ticket (Unlimited entry for 14 days)
= Adult £67
= Child £63
If its any help the original poster (on another well known site) said he would not have posted the link for these sites without checking they were reliable
1st. They appear to be ATOL prototected. A way round any fears is to price match them with the likes of Online Florida who I have used loads of times and know are ok!!

Happy Hols and post if you find cheaper yourself! (Every little helps lol)

Mandy:)

Spoke with Pillinger, they are not 209 pound any more, it is now 250.
I spoke with them about 15 mins ago?

I called them last week and was quoted £154 for the Flexticket Plus. I left it, thinking that I'd book nearer the time, but then saw this thread.

I called them again today and their prices have increased to £160 now, £6 more, but no-where near as much as Virgins' prices, even if you could buy from them.

So I've bought my tickets now, in case of any further price rises.

I understand that Charter are still cheaper for 14 Day Ultimate Disney tix too.

Out if interest, I checked attraction tickets direct and their price for the Flexticket Plus is £196.

Charter charge 2.5% Credit Card fee, but I paid that just for extra piece of mind. No charge for debit cards though. :thumbsup2

We booked ours for May with Virgin last week online & we're not flying with them, got the confimation yesterday.
14 day Ultimate ticket £215
Universal 2 park bonus ticket £70
Just been on the website & it looks like you can still buy them :confused3

We are off in May too and I have just ordered (within last 5 mins) my Universal, Sea World and Busch Gardern tickets on-line at Virgin Holidays with no problems, all I would say is it looks like they are updating their prices as they are displaying higher prices on the ticket information pages, but check out shows old prices, I saved £52 for my tickets by getting the old prices, so I suggest you book quick, follow this link;

Hope that helps, happy holidays!!

Grrrr, I'm so annoyed could kick myself.... We want Premium 5 or 7 day tickets. Both were £183 on virgin a couple of weeks ago and now £230 for the 5 day!!!

Was just looking at Pillinger on Sunday who were still doing 5 day for £183 but it's now £203. Have emailed the rest of my group to see what they want to do but I want to book tickets soon for our Sept trip.

Just wondering how long before buying from the US will be cheaper again? have never bought tickets in Uk before, always on arrival in orlando.

I bought a 7 day Premium at Xmas, they were only £170 then got 10%(£17) off with FVC disc so paid £153 for it. Now £223 and confussion if discounts can still be applied. I knew it was a bargain at Xmas as it was over £50 cheaper than ATD.

5 day is still 183 on virgin, when i went through to book the prices were cheaper so 70 for the universal ticket and 183 for 5 day disney ticket

Thanks for pointing that out orangetiggs! Have emailed charter travel for quote and will then call Virgin. Am having no luck getting through to check-out as it's telling me there is no accommodation availability? is there any other way to get through online without entering your travel dates etc in the left hand box?

OK managed to trick the system! Got the prices all into my ridiculously complicated spreadsheet! Have worked out only cheaper if can get FVC discount. Watch this space!

Hi,

Looks like they are still working on the site as the link I posted earlier is now not valid, try this link for tickets;

http://www.virginholidays.co.uk/ext...actions/universal_orlando/tickets_prices.aspx

Still showing old prices at check out.

HTH,
Nichola

I am just going through the process of buying the tickets on line and it seems like you can buy them at the old prices?

Do you think it will be ok even though I have not booked through Virgin?

I am nearly really confused.com.

whisky my view on it is that Virgin are a pretty safe bet. The price you get at checkout is the price you will pay and they will have to honour it. I certainly wouldn't be worrying about not having booked your holiday with them, I won't be!!!

Remember to try quidco too!

Let us know how you get on! I'm only interested in Virgin if they honour FVC discount as will make them heads and shoulders above everyone else.

Soooo annoying that rest of my travel buds are all at work! can't book on their behalf, need the go ahead but don't want to miss out this time!
