Hi to anyone out there who is interested i have spoken to my local Virgin Holidays store and they have informed me that the preview brochure for Florida covering end 2012 will be out on .....
THURSDAY 17TH FEBRUARY!:cool1:

I am sooooo excited!!:yay:

Claire

P.s will let you know if the store doesn't have them on that exact day ( after I have finished bending their ears about it!):goodvibes and when they expect them to arrive!

Have you not tried a DIY package claire by booking flights through VA and hotels through disney or just your hotel through VH? Just for a price comparrison. Not trying to bully you:cloud9:or anything but I always booked via VH but have saved £1000,s by booking seperate. Sorry if you think Im being pushy but from experience the extra money you save is more on the old dollors. I know they do sometimes have offers and apologies if this offends. I know its scary booking everything without the security of a TA.

Hi you haven't offended me at all! :goodvibes

I have thought of looking elsewhere but you are right - it is a little scary without the back - up of a TA! I think it worries me more because we are planning to go over Christmas as it will be our DD's first time there and she will turn 4 on Christmas eve whilst we are there :santa: Given the weather conditions the past couple of years in Dec I know i may be mad planning that but hey...! This is also why a TA / complete package would be useful - plus good insurance of course!

I also thougth that Virgin flights on their own were usually quite pricey?

You haven't offended or bullied me at all - I appreciate all input and thats what these forums are about! :)

we're also keen to book with virgin (we can only fly one day each October as I work in a school so it is worth the peace of mind to get your flight guaranteed 18 months in advance) Booked from the preview brochure last year and the year before but it was April before it waas out. Will be interested to see what is out on the 17th and if free ddp has been offered. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi, yes I thought it was early too. The earliest I have known it come out in the past was around 17th March. I did double check with the lady i spoke to that it was definately for Florida and covering Christmas 2012, so we'll have to wait and see! ( I won't be veery impressed tho if she has got it wrong!:sad2:)

Thanks also for the info on the "2012 Quote" post regarding thomas cook sig. it is definately food for thought :)

Thanks for the info :thumbsup2

I am in two minds about if I should try DIY for our May 2012 trip

I love to book as early as possible so its great to use VH but looking through other threads it looks like DIY can save you a lot of money

I guess I will be using the wonderful experts on the boards for advice on what to do

Sorry in advance for driving everyone crazy with dumb questions

Just as a comparison i looked on the wdw site for prices for this Dec added them all up and then checked VA flight prices. It was only £300 more expensive to book through VH as a total package. i realise that the flight prices were probably more expensive as it now "late" - ish to book flights for this Dec but just thought i'd check it out.
Well we'll see what the preview brochure has got to say for itself! Lets hope for free V room, and free DDp even over Christmas!:rotfl2:
