We have booked with Virgin Holidays via travel agent so should not be a problem, i have done all the steps, just not letting me through.

My only thought is that the final balance date it is not due until next week. (i paid it begining feb).

So maybe the travel agent have not handed the money over yet.

No this shouldn't make a difference. My balance date isn't until August and it has worked. I did have problems initially with the reference though. If you want to send me a private message with the reference, or the beginning and end of it if you like, I can tell you if it's the same one I used which worked or I'll have a go for you.

I do remember a while ago some VH refs would not work and the locator had be sought and used for 'manage my booking'. Best bet is give them VA a call. BTW all the VH reference is numerals apart from the last bit which signifies the season wither S (summer) or W (winter) plus the year ie 06. The VA locator number is a mixture of numerals and letters.

Q What is a booking reference number?
A This is also known as Record Locator (or recloc), PNR Code, confirmation number or reference number. It can usually be found on your tickets, confirmation or travel documentation.

Virgin Atlantic's booking reference is a six digit alphanumeric combination. Tickets issued by Virgin Atlantic will contain this code in the PNR Code box near the centre of the ticket. E-tickets issued by Virgin Atlantic list this as 'Booking Reference'.

We also accept booking reference number issued by most travel agents. These appear as a six digit alphanumeric combination usually listed in your travel documentation, or available from your travel agent upon request.

If you have purchased directly from Virgin Holidays, the reference is a five or six digit number, followed by a '/' and a three digit alphanumeric combination, e.g. 12345/S05 or 654321/W05. This can be found at the top of your holiday invoice.


I have had mixed results using VH booking ref sometimes it works sometimes not. When it didn't I rang VA and they gave me a different code to input which worked fine.
