Ok so I just rang virgin and spoke to the indian call centre to add on the discovery cove tickets, which the guy did

but I just looked at my invoice on the net, and somehow after adding the discovery cove tickets my holiday had GONE DOWN!!! £300 now thats not right I am very lost and really dont want to talk to the indian call centre again.

Also I just added planet hollywood dinner tickets on and they charged me for the tickets obviously but also a £25 amendment fee!! just for adding tickets is that right

What should I do? about the prices going down? I mean it would be nice but it isnt right I know it

The only thing you can do is contact them again, they manage the booking so are best placed to advise.

Could you not book the DC tickets through Discovery Cove themselves or from www.attraction-tickets-direct.co.uk

We fly with Virgin but if we have already booked the holiday I would never think of adding on theme park tickets too. It just makes the booking more complex and as you have found can mean errors are made, plus you will get an amendment fee as you are changing the booking details.

Discovery Cover have not started taking direct bookings for november 07 and I could with virigin so I did

I have realised whats wrong, they have not charged me for the flights as well as the upgrades (they have charged for the upgrades, just not the flights lol)

Im going to call tomorrow and try to talk to someone in the UK,

Good Luck with trying to talk to someone in the UK!! :thumbsup2 I phoned last week to complain about the hour that it took me to alter our holiday (i had the girls name) but i got the same girl again!! Couldn't bring myself to have a moan :confused3

I cant believe they managed to miss something as important as the flight price off!!

I am ring the frequent virgin club tomorrow after 9am you normally get someone in the uk then

and they have took off my virgin flyer 10 % off the booking! so that needs putting back on

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I rang VH today to see about cancelling the car hire and platinum insurance on our Flydrive holiday in December. We have found a cheaper deal elsewhere, but that's another story....

Anyway, I was told that If i do this there is a £25 PER PERSON fee. That means we will save about £450 but have to pay £100 fees. It isn't such a good deal after all.

Has anyone else had experience of them waiving this fee or only charging per booking and not per person?

It's per person and generally they only waive it if you increase the cost of your holiday with them. It's in the t&cs and to be fair to Virgin and other TAs I think it's only fair enough as they have incurred admin charges I guess.

Sorry :(

ETA: It's still a good deal if it costs you £100 but you save £450. You're still £350 better off :)

We have only had frees waived if the cost is higher, usually if the cost is lower we would be saving more than £100 other wise we would not bother.

It's going to cost that amount to get the better deal that we have seen elsewhere. Actually, it would be an upgrade from a Intermediate 4 door to a Premium 4 door for the same money at the end of the day. It's with Budget Rental from www.floridacarhire.net

Might have to think about this more. Is there any real benefit going through Virgin/Dollar.

Maybe I should start a new thread.

I was given a number for UK Customer Services when I was trying to get a hotel swap a few weeks ago. It's 0871 222 3635. Hopefully this might help you out a bit.

It is a total rip off charging £100 in admin feesjust to remove a car. Something that takes 2 seconds to do and just generates one more invoice. I work for a small independent tour op in Ireland and we just would never charge that.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Ok, I got a result!!!!! And better than that it was from the Indian Call Centre!

Firstly I booked my 14 day Ultimate Disney Tickets but got them at the reduced price of £165 (adult) and £135 (child). Got them reduced because the date we go is 10/12/06 and this is the last date for these reduced price tickets! (Oh, got the 10% FC discount too!) We ordered a 2 Adult and 1 child tickets for the 4 of us because we will be getting 1 annual pass so we don't have to pay for daily parking and we will also get shopping/dining discounts.

Next I told the operator that we wanted to cancel our premium insurance package and car upgrade and extra 17 days rental as we were going to pay all the extra charges locally and take the risk with a very good Sterling exchange rate.

She then said she would check the price and came back with a final figure of just over £20 extra and NO £25 x 4 fee to be paid!

Now I can shop around for a good car hire deal at a reduced price!

I don't care what people say, I love that call centre!
