For our next holiday as it's our wedding & honeymoon trip I would love to upgrade our return flights to Upper Class, I have enough miles but DFi is just over 5000 short :(

So if anyone isn't a member yet and may plan on flying with Virgin would you mind if I sent you an invite from DFi account, so he can gain some extra miles towards the 5000 he needs. We would both earn bonus miles for this, so not just me benefiting.

Thanks :)

It will take for someone to both join AND fly before the miles hit your account.
I see you have a while to go until your wedding so you might be ok with that :)

Have you thought about either buying the extra miles you need or there are some other options.

Virgin Wines have a offer on I think you get a large bonus for joining and your first order.

Have him sign up for a Virgin Credit Card.

I agree - the quickest way to get those 5000 is to buy them - it costs between 70 and 90 GBP to buy 4600 or 5750 points - i know its £90 but for an upgrade to Upperclass id buy em like a shot.

as well as virgin wines which offer the first case bonus (with cheap intro deal on mixed cases) you can also go through the online shopping route which gives you a 500 bonus for first 50 spent.

good luck with the wedding - we only upgraded to PE for our honeymoon and it was the best decision we made - upper class on the way back will rock

Just looked this up for you

Flying Club members are entitled to earn 3,000 Flying Club miles on their first Virgin Wines order, plus 750 miles on all subsequent orders placed through Virgin Atlantic.

And then like STOCKYJIM said do the Virgin Online Shopping for a further 500 miles (if over £50)

There is a bonus on miles right now so it would seem to be a good time if you decide to go that route but honestly in a year you could earn 5000 miles no probs.

Yep I understand that as I sent him a link to join ;) as you said though we have a while to go so quite a bit of time, we won't be booking the flights till this time next year.
Thanks for the mention about the Wines but they would be a big waste of money for us as we don't really drink.

Oh I will deffinately be buying the remaining miles needed just thought I;d see if I can get some 'free' ones too ;) Done the shopping thing and got those bonus miles.

Thanks, only ever flown Econ and have always wanted to fly UC can't think of a better trip to do it on and the upgrade with miles is a great way as would never be able to afford to pay for it.
