You don't need to have an Amex card to get their travel insurance - it's available to anyone who wants to buy it.

Hi

I never knew this. It was lucky as I was about to book this with the car included.

I was going to book a Fly Drive to Florida for October next yr school holidays.

Couldnt get next years prices though, but managed to get a decent rental price for a 7 seater car £386. It was over £400 for a full size car with Virgin.

If I dont pick up the car I wont get charged? Any admin fee's? Or any other hidden charges?

I've also just not picked up the 7 day 'free' car hire and hired one elsewhere with no problems!

As others have said this is a good way of getting quick filling flights you want before the 11 month window
