Virgin "bubble"

The bubble is fantastic, we got off after 1st class and were through the airport on no time at all :-) you don't have above head storage they put your hand luggage in a cupboard, however if you have a window seat the storage at your side is very large and it's rather handy having everything by your side, we had packed our hand luggage so that everything we needed whilst on the plane was in it's own carrier bag so then as soon as we got on the plane we took the carrier bag out and didn't have to flaff about the storage had space for loads! We had 1 large bag of stuff plus 3 jumpers and I out the blankets and everything else in there! :-) have fun and enjoy the bubble it's fab :-)

Our 60 day this morning, all seats available at 8am I choose row 61 again over the bubble. Prefer not sitting next to some random for 9hrs.

Sat here few times and by time bags etc arrive you are all in same place at same time anyways.

:thumbsup2 yes this.

We much prefer the two seats at the back. I'd rather wait extra time in the arrivals hall then 9 1/2 hours sitting next to somebody that I would have to keep on asking to move!:goodvibes

Are you all paying the new £50 round trip fee to choose your seats at 60 days out? I believe you can only choose your seat a day in advance now unless you pay the extra right? I really want the bubble after a nightmare wait in arrivals last year but am expecting it to be all booked up only 24 hrs in advance.

Ok forget that. Just found the info on them delaying this due to technical problems. What great news! Glad I found out as my window opens in 14 days.

The exit seats by the door in economy downstairs can be a quick way out, move quick so the cabin crew are unaware, DD and I never moved so fast and were first into immigration. I did economy in the Bubble in May, but, I got exit seats (lush) so wasn't first out :( Still, no matter how quick you get off the plane and through immigration, there is still the wait for the bags.

I had choice of seats in the bubble going out and return however I had heard so many tales of people being bumped back downstairs at check in and then being split up all over the place so decided against it :confused3

Are you peeps not finding this the case? If so I might look at this next year?

Actually in May I had pre booked seats in the downstairs PE part and got out in the PE bubble part so it works both ways I suppose. And we for the back row so no one behind us to irritate. I was surprised these seats weren't grabbed earlier they were great seats. We got to the airport quite late.

Luckily for us virgin have postponed charging for seats! Problems with their system etc...worked out great for us this trip! Saved us a bit of cash!!!more towards spending money!!

Does the booking window open at Midnight on the 60th day before or at the time of your flight, 60 days before?

Knowing airlines if they thiught it was much different they charge extra for the bubble like with extra legroom

Paying for seat selection is effectively charging for the bubble seats. Once that's in, if anyone wants to sit up there, they'll have to pay. Plus it's an element of fare they won't have to show on price comparison websites or Virgin brochures and certainly won't need to pay cash back and other things on.

It's just a shame the base ticket price does't come down to reflect it!

From my own experience its a novelty value thing plus getting off first.

When i last flew it didnt fill up particularly quickly. We chose downstairs but that was fornpractical reasons(a toddler who loves stairs)

Well I'll be up from 5am that day anyway trying to get Anna and Elsa Fastpasses! Busy morning.

That was me yesterday ........... FP+ at 5am, plane seats at 8am ........ But I have to report "Mission Accomplished" on all fronts

Luckily not had to worry about getting fast passes set up as only doing 2 days at disney this trip. So reserving the seats has been the only thing we really needed to do in advance. Also staying offsite so no ddp to book adrs for. This is gonna be a very laid back trip with more time for shopping and things outside the parks.
