Going in May 2009 :cool1: and have been looking at attraction tickets.
Virgin tickets are a good bit cheaper but they send vouchers instead of actual tickets - anyone used Virgin for tickets before and did you have any problems exchanging them in Orlando. Looking to buy both Disney and Universal.

Thanks.

We have used Virgin Holidays for tickets once before and are using them again for Disney tickets for OCtober this year.

Exchanging the vouchers is not difficult at all. For the Disney tickets, you can take them to any Guest Services booth located outside each of the parks and also at Downtown Disney.

For the Universal tickets, they have a ticket collection booth, at which you can exchange your vouchers. Sea World is similar also.

To me it is only a slight inconvenience but the price which Virgin have the Disney tickets for at the moment more than makes up for any inconvenience (in my opinion).

Exchanging vouchers is part of our holiday. I don't like having the tickets in UK, I like to go to DTD on 1st evening and get them, make any diner reservations we want and talk to cast members.

At Xmas we landed Xmas day and straight to MK so did not do our usual DTD trip. went to guest services with voucher from Virgin, no line so imediately served. It was for only 1 ticket for DMIL as we already had our AP's. The CM said "1 child ticket?" I said no 1 adult ticket. He gave me adult ticket no problem but strange he asked if it was a child ticket? maybe an error between Virgin and Disney but the CM made nothing of it. The price we paid I wonder if Virgin made a mistake, it was £153 for a 7 day Premium(after 10% FVC discount), about £40-50 cheaper than ATD or other sellers.

We have just received our vouchers from Virgin for our 2 kids (me and DW will be buying APs when we get there) and have no worries about having them instead of tickets - although I do think that part of that was due to the fact that they are coming from Virgin.
I would have had more reservations if it was a ticket seller who I had never heard of before and they were sending vouchers.
But then, isn't that what places like this are for? :thumbsup2
To ask and gain confidence in your decisions before committing any money.

I know its me but......where do you find attaction tickets on the Virgin site ?

Has anyone tried buying Virgin attraction tickets through Quidco? Says on their site 3% cashback but im not sure if it only applies to flights?

I posted this comment a few weeks ago, don't know if anyone has tried yet.
They have increased VA to 4% now and 3% thru VA.

Does anyone know if you get a discount when booking tickets if you re a member of Virgins Flying Club? We got a discount on the total holiday bill but was nt sure if this also applies when booking tickets?

We got 10% off ticket at Xmas with FVC so I would think you get the 5% with FFC, have you looked on VA site, does it give any info there?

Sorry to hijack this thread but I had two quick questions about VA tickets. I've ordered Universal and Discovery Cove tickets via them - what will I get in respect of DC? Also, I have a balance to pay on these and I've now joined the Flying Club - do you think I'll likely get any discount....(also, am I right in thinking I can't apply any miles to the Club until I'm home??).

Thanks!

).

If you are staying at a Disney hotel just show the vouchers in reception and they will add them on to your key to the world for you, so you don't have to carry too many things around! :thumbsup2

I have used vouchers before and have had no trouble in exchanging them. I will also use Virgin if the price is right when we return this year.

We booked Worlds of Discovery with VH and got 10% discount plus miles on the purchase for our FFC membership

I phoned up recently to add disney tickets to our booking. They didn't want to add them first of all because we are fly drive, but I insisted it was fine. They checked with a manager and said yes you can add to fly drive booking. Also because I have 10% FC discount they applied the 10% even thought it has now gone down to 5%. They calculated it manually to work out the discount.
