Hi everybody,

I have received the following email from Virgin Customer Services:

Dear Lewis

Thank you for your e-mail. Please accept my apologies for the delayed response.

You are correct, the charge for an emergency exit seat is gbp50.00 per passenger and this is on all routes with the exception of the Gatwick to Orlando route. The reason for this is that the Gatwick - Orlando route is used mainly by families travelling on holiday.

I am more than happy to forward this email on to anyone who is travelling with Virgin in the near future. I can't see how they could possibly try to charge you if you check-in with a copy of this email ;) ... If you would like me to forward it to you, just post a message below with your address.

At long last, we have clarified this point as to wheteher they will or won't try and charge us 50 quid :teeth:
