Virgin Atlantic Premium Economy

Back to flights, I was looking at Saturdays (easier for villa rentals) but there aren't any flights showing as available - guess that means all the PE seats have been sold.

If not showing then yes probably all sold now for this August. We booked last year with Miles and Money, way more than I wanted to pay but taking our 3 year old God Daughter so wanted direct this trip. Paid £880pp(+2000 miles) economy out PE return

Well forget the early flight out and late flight back, choosing that option puts the price up from £1400 to £1600 per person. Not sure the extra hour or two is worth £800 .

I couldn't pay £1400 never mind £1600, last August only cost me £1400 for Delta Biz class with lay flat seats. :confused3

Welcome back.
Depends which flights you are on.
London Gatwick – Orlando VS027/028 is the new A330-300 with no bubble.

Hiya. I know I've mentioned this to you before Wayne, sorry if I'm harping on. Just an fyi for others reading this. We fly on VS027 LGW-MCO on Aug 6, we are still on the 747 (thus far). Just being awkward and throwing another variable in there, I guess, lol.

I don't think they know themselves which plane is doing which route this summer. Seen more threads saying they have been changed. Have they even ordered new planes or was it just to get us all to book:rotfl2:

A new A330 has been spotted at LGW however i'm wondering if they have decided using a lower capacity plane on the MCO route wasn't the best idea after all! :lmao:

Well I just looked our flights up on Delta, £1812 and that's with an hour and half stopover at Atlanta. I'd rather pay £1400 on PE and fly direct. I haven't ever done a layover - do you have to get off the plane.

Yes you get off and change planes but no question for me if I had the money spare it would be indirect business over direct PE ever time for me.
Lounges included at every airport
96kg luggage per person.
Separate Elite check in & fast track thru security
DW & I shared a bottle of champagne all included plus any other drink unlimited(unlike our last Virgin flight who stopped alcohol 2 hours into flight)
Meal consisting of about 6 courses, including one of the best Filet steaks I have ever had. Plus snack outbound or Breakfast coming home
Trolley left out all flight with crisps, chocolate, fruit etc.
End of flight cabin manager came around and thanked us all personally by name for flying with them.

We have booked middle of the upstairs cabin. I was think of row 80 which is still empty but wondered about the space behind the seat. I couldn't imagine that the rear row in PE would have restricted recline but didn't want to take the risk.

Can anyone say whether 80 HK is a good row? Should I move us from 77AC?

Steve

i can. its great. you have nobody to your left. talk about privacy ! they slightly and i mean slightly recline less than the others, but the privacy is amazing. id move from 77 to 79 a and c anyway. you recline without affecting anybody. 80 first, 79 a and c second. get it changed !!!!!!!!!!!

We did thanks for the feedback always nice to know that we made the right choice. We had 79ac coming back but the seat map is now closed and from other posts looks like they haven't made their minds up on changing the planes yet.
