have got prices from virgin for good flights to NYC retuning from Orlando, yet to book an internal from NYC TO ORLANDO, MY question is being a fan. Of virgin what are. Delta like to fly with? We have two boys so IFE is a must aswell as comfy chairs! Thanks in advance

I haven't flown with them personally. On our last NY flights it was Delta but operated by VA, so the other way round! :)

A quick google implies they do have IFE though which is good news :) but you won't get it on the domestic leg.

Virgin aren't anything special - Delta are just as good. Domestic flights may have some entertainment but it is a short flight from New York to a Orlando. Our last two domestic legs with Delta did have IFE. IFE on domestic flights is hit or miss with any US airline (actually, it's hit or miss on ALL flights as a plane switch or broken system could render any airline without IFE - 2 of my 4 last transatlantic legs have been without IFE, including one with Virgin). I guess what I'm saying is: it's great if it's there, but never ever rely on it (even if the airline uses it as a major selling point). Choose your flight based on price and convenience (schedule, preferred airports, ability to collect/use miles etc).

:) Thanks - Thank goodness for mobile devices in times of broken IFE !

I have never been sure on flights if the quote 'pay more, get better' is correct! I certainly noticed when flying with Thomas Cook the difference between them and Virgin - just small things like on a night flight not having enough blankets for people and no pillows - yes not a biggie but small touch and yes it was worth not having them for the saving we made! Therefore, as Delta are coming in cheaper and a better flight time I think we'll go for it! Thanks again :)

My lad flew Delta last trip to use up some KLM airmiles we had and said he thought it was loads better than Virgin ......... and he's had a fair few of those over the years to compare it to.

I flew to NYC with Delta and they were way better then Virgin and the added bonus you can take 18kgs hand luggage with Delta and their IFE was more advance then Virgin back in 2010

We flew Delta from London to Atlanta and on the Orlando last year.
The long Haul was OK, IFE was OK, seats are not overly large or comfy, but we had a blanket and pillow each.
I always feel like we are hearded cattle when flying anyway so for the cost it was fine, they encouraged us to drink lots of fluid so refreshments were plentiful, food was fine.
The internal flight from Atlanta had no IFE, however it took off on time, landed early and was a super quick flight , both ways the internal flight was so quick, I thought it was excellent and the change of flight was very straightforward.

Value for money was good.
