Virgin Airbuses

We are flying from Gatwick to Orlando with Virgin on the 26th October on VS27. Does anyone know if this is likely to be one of the new airbuses and if so do these planes have the extra leg room seats in economy that the old planes do ? Thanks for any info.

The new planes are only on certain days, im flying out on 19th oct and we are on 747

How did you find out what plane was going to be on your route ?

If you goto the VA site, goto "My Booking" log in and then click on "view or change seats" it tells you which plane you are on.
Ours says:
Outbound Boeing 747-400 (Seating configuration 1)
Inbound Airbus A330-300

It will be difficult to compare, we are flying out on the old plane which we have done numerous times but when we return on the new plane it will be our 1st experience in Premium Economy. I will be able to give my opinion on PE but won't be able to tell you if its better or worse then the 747 PE.

When checking your booking on Virgin Atlantic do you just use your Virgin Holidays booking reference?

Also how soon can you check your flight booking? Ours does not appear to be on VA yet (if we are using the correct reference) but then we still have 12 months to go!

You can not access your booking on VA until 11 months from the return date.

You use your VH reference you just have to fill a couple of extra fields on the page that loads - asks for date & flight number.
