virgin 2007

Sorry to hear everyone is having trouble getting their brochures. I pre-ordered mine and it's still not arrived. I went in the TA's and they had just had them delivered on Wednesday morning and the very nice lady in there gave me a copy and rang Virgin to check when I could book my choice of hotel with it not being in the preview one.

Check at the travel agents for a copy, i managed to get one yesterday :thumbsup2

Virgins site looks like it has been updated to give prices up to October 2007 - just need to make my mind up now!

Oh didn't get on the PC last night. Will go do a quote now!!!!

Thanks.

Just checked. The fly drive prices are quite good aren't they. I think I'll wait for a 10% weekend to book. This current 10% deal only applies to bookings up to 30 April. :confused3

My brochure didnt arrive so i sent DF to the travel agents & got one, i was really excited as it said £200 off teen prices, but i didnt look at the small print & it only aplies to Miami & just before summer holls :sad2:
As someone already said - no discounts for these hols. We booked with the preview brochure last year & felt we got a really good deal (3 weeks including October half term for 2 adults & 1 11 year old £2300 - including wedding!!)
But i now work in a school & DD is turning 12 this year - Johnny i know how you feel ;)
Although i am only on a years temporary contract & am hoping for a permenant one, it is a 'double edged sword' wont be able to afford to go at all if they dont give me another contract, hoping to find out next week, so fingers crossed.
Anyway back to the subject - looking like we will have to look elsewhere other than Virgin :sad1:

I think the prices have been frozen from this year.

Last year we booked from the preview brochure and got in before the fuel supplement was imposed so we got a really good deal.

Before booking this year I checked Delta/Globespan for this year at the same time (we fly 12th July next year) and they were considerably more expensive although we would have missed any early deals with those airlines (especially for children). I agree prices are reasonable £559 per adult/teen for a fly-drive is OK for July although the price goes up a fair bit from 13th July.

We get 10% discount booking through our RBS bank account so I just went ahead and booked.

I think when/if I eventually get the brochure it'll be an anti-climax as it's all booked now. :yay:

we went to our TA today and they havn't got the pre-view brochure yet (still waiting for postie to bring mine)but i did get a quote from virgin for 2 adults 1 teen and 1 child with 14 day disney tix staying at CBR £3921 thats with 10% FF discount so i ask TA if they would price match and their costing was much higher at £5545 and they could only offer a 15% discount which was still much higher than virgin so as i go to walk out and prepare to book direct with virgin they offered me the match  :cheer2:  :cheer2: so i booked and we are going the 20th aug-3 september and now all i have to do is wait for august this year and i can also get our wedding booked :woohoo: anyone now how to get the countdowns please :)

There are some good instructions for countdowns on the Tech board, or cick on my counter which will take you to a website that you can create one on. Give me a shout if you get stuck :)
